Roscoe's 3rd Birthday

Violet's pov

"Happy Birthday, Roscoe!" Grace, Fred, George, Dora, Andromeda and I shouted as he ran into the kitchen. I grabbed him and held him into me. I smothered him with kisses. "Happy Birthday little man." I whispered, kissing his cheek. I placed him in his chair and handed him chocolate pancakes. "Uncle Moony!" Grace cheered, jumping into his arms. He kissed her head and walked in the kitchen.

"Hello, Violet." He nodded, I smiled lightly before handing him pancakes. "You're still getting the silent treatment, Remmy?" Dora laughed. He rolled his eyes and kissed Roscoe's head. "Happy Birthday, mini marauder." Remus smiled sitting next to him. "Mommy!" Roscoe shouted, I smiled and looked at him. "Yes, love?" I asked sitting next to Remus. "Where's daddy? Is he coming later?" Roscoe asked shoving pancakes in his mouth.

I dropped my fork, Remus grabbed it and got another. "Um, I-I don't know where daddy is love. I'm sorry, Roscoe. But you know dad loves you." I tried to smile. "He missed my birthday." Roscoe frowned. I let out a shaky breath, "Ros," I whispered. He got off his chair and ran upstairs. I threw the napkin on my plate and held my head. "Grace, can you talk to him?" I asked looking up.

"Of course mom." She smiled and kissed Fred before going after Roscoe. "Did you find anything out?" I asked, looking at Remus. "Violet, not today." He mumbled. "Remus, enough of the pity party! Tell me." I shouted. "Dolohov mentioned something. Regulus joined them, but I think he said it because he knew I would tell you." Remus added quickly. "That's bloody ridiculous! He wouldn't!" I argued.

"I'm not saying he would. I am telling you what I heard." Remus argued back. "Right, sorry." I mumbled. Roscoe stomped down the stairs, Grace rolled her eyes. "ROS! Stop acting like you are 2! Are you 2?" Grace scolded. "No! I'm three!" He argued. "Then act like it!" Grace argued. I laughed and nudged Remus. "Yeah, she's just like you." he laughed. "Twat." I groaned. Roscoe climbed onto my lap. I held him and looked down at him.

He grabbed my long hair and messed with it. "Roscoe," Grace warned. He shot her a look and turned back to me. "Mommy." He whispered. "Yes love?' I smiled. "I'm sorry. I can't blame you." He mumbled. I pulled him into my chest and kissed his head. I winked at Grace before cupping Roscoe cheeks. "You know if your dad could, he would be here." I spoke, Roscoe nodded.

"I'm sorry honey." I whispered, holding him close to me. "I miss daddy, Harry, Dray, Mione, and Won-won." Roscoe whispered. I looked at George and Fred, I shook my head knowing they taught him that. "I miss Uncle Pad." He cried, wiping a tear. Tears pricked my eyes, I cradled his head. "I miss them too, love. Very much." I wiped my tears. Grace ran over to me and hugged Roscoe and I.

Remus kissed my head and held my hand. I smiled and squeezed his hand. "Grace, love we have to go open shop." Fred addressed. "You coming Black?" George smirked, kissing my head and ruffling Roscoe's little curls. "Roscoe, can I go or do you want me here?" Grace asked. "Just be here for dinner." He smiled. "Of course buddy!" She smiled and kissed his cheeks. "I love you, Roscoe. Happy birthday." She smiled and stood up.

Fred kissed my head and ruffled Roscoe's hair. "Happy Birthday little man." Fred smiled. "Anything you want from the shop?" George asked. "Mommy! Can I go pick something out?" He pleaded. I laughed and nodded. "Let's go get you dressed. Thank you boys." I smiled and walked up with Roscoe. Remus hugged me, "Be safe." He whispered, kissing my head. "I will. I promise." I smiled. He nodded and left.

"Mommy! Let's go hurry!" Roscoe cheered. I smiled and held his hand apparating him to the shop. We walked toward the shop, I held him close to me. "Violet," I heard an all too familiar voice whisper. I held Roscoe close and whipped my head around. Lucius and Narcissa stood in front of me. I opened the shop door and Grace noticed her aunt and uncle. "Hi, Grace." Narcissa smiled and Lucius nodded.
