A/N: Short chapter, it's just a filler with Violet coping a bit. Next chapter will be longer and it will begin sixth year! Again this amazing reader mentioned this idea!
Violet's pov
"Mom, I really think you should be relaxing." Grace admitted from the table. "Love, your brother is crying and your father is out." I whispered, trying to get Roscoe to relax. Harry handed me Roscoe's blanket and stuffed wolf. "Thank you." I whisper as Roscoe calms down. I walked up the stairs to put Roscoe down for a nap, as I walked back down Draco and Grace were whisper-arguing. I watched intently before they noticed, Grace shoved Draco forward.
"Mom, er we really think you should rest. Go color outside." Draco smiled shyly. I threw my head back, Draco dragged me outside and Grace brought the muggle coloring materials. Harry brought out water and snacks. After an hour of coloring the kids came out and informed me they were heading to bed, and that Regulus and Remus still weren't back. I summoned the muggle cigarettes Sirius and I used in Hogwarts.
I walked to the back of the house and sat on the floor against the wall. I opened the pack and stared at the cigarettes. I closed my eyes, grasping onto the pack tightly. Sirius you utter twat, why, why did you leave. Merlin, you know how much I needed you, how much Reg needed you, how much Remus needed you. The kids need you so bad, Sirius. I opened my eyes and wiped the tears that ran down my cheeks. I pulled the last cigarette out of the pack and tossed the pack to the side of me.
Slowly, I lit the cigarette with the lighter left in Sirius' room. "To broken promises." I cheered, holding the lit cigarette up to the sky before smoking it. While smoking out in the back, I finally felt like I could breathe without breaking. I closed my eyes and continued to smoke, relaxing at the feeling of the smoke leaving my mouth. I finished off the cigarette. "Kreacher!" I called, he appeared next to me.
I grabbed the packet of cigarettes I tossed to the side earlier and handed it to him. "Can you get two more packs of those please." I smiled. He nodded apprehensively, "And do not tell Remus or Regulus." I added, he nodded and apparated out. I flicked the bud of the cigarette and looked up. I saw the Canis Major constellation, or known as Sirius. I smiled and leaned my head back, allowing my thoughts to settle.
In heaven, "Evans! Is there a way I can hex Vi from here?" Sirius asked angrily "It's Potter, Sirius. And no, why what happened?" Lily asked walking up to Sirius. "VIOLET FUCKING LUPIN-BLACK! STOP IT! MERLIN I WISH I COULD AWAKE FROM THE BEYOND AND HEX HER!" James screamed. "James, only we can hear you and I don't appreciate the yelling." Lily sassed. "She promised!" Sirius pointed out. "She also watched all of us die. Cut her some slack. I'm sure Remus and Regulus will give her hell." Marlene snickered.
"Violet, Kreacher couldn't get what you asked." Kreacher spoke softly. "It's alright, I'll get it tomorrow." I announced before opening my eyes and looking at him. I noticed two sets of legs behind Kreacher. I looked up and noticed Remus and Regulus frowning while holding the packs in their hands. "Bloody, mother- of all that is magical." I grumbled before standing up. "Give them." I ordered. "No, you may act scary and have us wrapped around your finger, but this is where we draw the line." Remus argued.
"Reg, please. I-it helps." I tried to hold it together. He handed the pack to me, I smiled and opened it. When I opened it, it was empty. "Reg," I whispered. He threw me over his shoulder, taking me into the house. Grace, Draco and Harry walked down. Regulus grabbed the cigarettes and threw them in the fire. I watched him, tears building up. "You are not going to slowly kill yourself!" He shouted. "I'm coping!" I argued. "Coping isn't killing yourself! Do you want Roscoe to grow up without a mom? Or have a mom that can't talk because her lungs hurt so much! WHAT THE FUCK VIOLET!" Regulus screamed.
