Chapter 26

Violet's pov

September 1st 1991

Sirius, Remus and I took Harry to King' Cross Station along with the Weasleys, I have yet to tell Harry about me working at the school, and Grace thought it would be a good idea to surprise him. I took Harry's hand while Sirius and Remus took his trolly, we ran through the barrier and came out facing a scarlet red train. Sirius and Remus took turns hugging him, "We'll see you soon kiddo!" Remus cheered while messing his hair up. Sirius smiled and pulled him into a hug, "See you later." Sirius stated, kissing his head. I walked over to the Weasleys while Harry was placing his trolly near the train. I grabbed the twins, Percy, and Ron, "No one tell Harry I work at the school, Grace wants to surprise him." I whisper earning nods from everyone.

"Vi," Harry muttered, I ruffled all the Weasley boys' hair and turned to face Harry. "Yes, love?" I asked, kneeling down. "My parents, what house were they in?" Harry asked while looking down shyly. I lifted his face up to look at me, "They were both in Gryffindor, but don't worry, they would be proud of you for any house." I proudly stated before kissing his forehead. "I'm going to miss you Vi." Harry mumbled into my hair. "You will see me sooner than you think, love." I kissed his cheek before pushing him to Ron. Draco ran up from behind me and hugged my waist.

"Hey, Draco! Are you excited?" I asked while giving him a big hug. He nodded frantically, "I'm so excited, Aunt Vi! Do you think I'll get Slytherin like my parents, I mean I have to right?" Draco rambled excitedly, I smiled and kissed his head. "You won't get Slytherin if you continue with that behavior." Lucius sneered behind him. I glared up at Lucius before looking back at Draco, I pulled him close to me. "I'll be proud of you no matter what house." I whispered, earning a kiss on the cheek from Draco. "Bye Vi! I'll see you on holiday!" Draco shouted from the train window. I turned to face Narcissa, "You didn't tell him I work at Hogwarts did you?" I laughed as I waved to Ron, Harry and Draco. She shook her head, "No, I wanted to surprise him. He'll be over the moon when he sees you." Narcissa laughed before hugging me. "I better be off. I will owl you if he needs you." I whispered making Narcissa smile gratefully.

I apparated outside Hogwarts and began to walk in. Hagrid was making his way down to the gate. "Ah! Hello there Violet!" Hagrid cheered. "Hello, Hagrid. Is Grace and Reg already inside?" I asked as he helped me up the steps. "Yup, Grace is talking with McGonagall and practicing her powers. Reg is speaking with Severus." Hagrid informed me, I nodded before walking in. "Oh! Hagrid, don't tell Harry or Draco that I'm here when you get them." I smiled before he nodded, I made my way to McGonagall.

Once I walked into her room, I saw Grace pout angrily, she looked at me and had tears in her eyes. I gave her a small smile before wrapping my arms around her. "Mom, I can't get it. Can you try, please?" Grace asked looking up at me. I nodded and Regulus and Severus walked in as I was about to start. "Make the glass shake. That's what I was trying to do." Grace mumbles as she crosses her legs under herself. I looked at the glass vase and concentrated on my emotions. "I'm beginning to think Violet and Grace aren't witches." Severus whispered to Regulus.

I focused my anger on the vase, within a few seconds of Severus' comment the vase shook violently. The vase tipped over onto the table, continuing with the violent shaking, within a mere second it shattered into dust. I opened my eyes and smirked at the dust, I looked over at Grace whose mouth was wide open. "My mom is so cool!" Grace shouted looking at McGonagall, who nodded at her. Grace climbed into my lap and looked at me, "How'd you do it?" She questioned. "You need to hyper-focus on one emotion. The strongest emotion will fuel your magic." I explained, she nodded.

Regulus repaired the vase and kissed her head for encouragement. "If she can do this at this age, she'll be a very powerful witch." McGonagall whispered to me and Regulus. Severus watched Grace struggle intently, he looked at Regulus and Regulus nodded at him. I turned to look at my husband with confusion. He wrapped his arms around my waist, "Please don't overreact. Don't go all crazy witch mom." He whispered into my ear, I nodded slowly. Severus walked over to Grace, Grace groaned and opened her eyes, watching Severus walk around her.
