Chapter 8

Violet's pov

"Molly, do you think we could do a dinner celebration here for Lily and James' engagement?" I asked while playing with Fred and George's hair. George grabbed a fist full of my shirt and cuddled himself closer, in return I wrapped my arm around him tighter. Molly watched in awe along with Regulus and Arthur. "Of course, Vi. When would you like to have it? Tea?" Molly asked me quietly. "I was thinking after our next meeting, so a month. Yes please with honey." I responded. She nodded and stood up to start the kettle, Arthur moved to sit to the left of me. "You know Vi, they never let anyone hold them. Matter of fact we can never get them to sleep." Arthur joked lightly.

Regulus laughed as Fred pulled my hand back on his head, his way of telling me to keep rubbing his head. I smiled at the twins and rubbed Fred's hair while lightly scratching George's back. "Arthur, I love all your kids. I mean it, when I said I can help. Just owl me when you need help, especially with these two." I laughed lightly as they stirred around against my sides. Molly came back and handed me my tea. "Thank you Molly." I thanked before sipping it. Molly smiled at me then quickly looked at Regulus who was in deep thought. "Love, you okay?" I asked, knocking him out of it. "Hmm, oh yea. I'm okay." Regulus answered quietly.

I placed the tea down and took the twins to their room upstairs. Slowly, I placed Fred down on the left side of the room, I walked to the right side and placed George down. I went back over to Fred's bed and tucked him in, making sure to brush the hairs out of his face and kiss his forehead. I walked over to Georeg who jumped up and hugged me. "Georgie you are supposed to be asleep." I laughed quietly. "I miss you Vi." George stated while getting under the covers. I tucked him in and brushed his hair back, placing a kiss on his forehead. "I miss you too Georgie and Freddie." I mumbled as his eyes fluttered shut.

Regulus and I made it back to our flat, which we shared with Sirius and Remus. "Well it's about time!" Remus cheered as we walked in. "Did you two shag?" Sirius teased, making Regulus groan and I blushed. "No! I was cuddling with the twins again. I'm their favorite!" I state proudly. "That's because they scare everyone else. Very talented wizards for their age, mind you." Remus said making everyone hum. "Well, goodnight boys." I said kissing Remus and Sirius on the cheek before following Regulus to our room. There are 4 rooms in the flat, but we kept the fourth room a guest room, it's charmed to accommodate the person who stays there. "I'll be back love." Regulus said kissing my head before leaving the room.

Regulus pov

I watched as her eyes fluttered shut, she fell into a deep slumber. My heart fluttered at the sight of Violet in our bed, wearing my shirt and some shorts. Her hair fell perfectly across her face, her light brown hair made her pale skin stand out. She is absolutely gorgeous, I knew that I needed to talk to Remus immediately. I walked back into the kitchen to find Remus and Sirius drinking tea. "Remus, I need to talk with you." I said getting the two's attention. Why am I suddenly so nervous around her brother, and my brother.

"Yes? What is it?" He asked, placing his cup down. Sirius suppressed a laugh before leaning against the counter to get a better view. "I wanted to talk to you about Violet, actually." I said softly, he nodded making me continue. I took a deep breath and looked back up seeing my brother give a thumbs up and Remus raise an eyebrow. "I would like your blessing, to propose and marry Violet." I mustered the courage to get out, he stayed quiet and looked at me. "I know you said she's too young, but you don't understand how much I love her. She means everything to me! I would die for her, if it meant she got to live happily, I would die for her! Remus, I-I," I was at a loss for words as he started to laugh at me.

"Sorry, I don't mean to laugh, but I did see this coming. I could see it in your eyes, when you watched her with the twins, when James proposed, and even when she said goodnight to us." Remus laughed again. "So?" I asked, a bit confused. "So yes, you have my blessing. When did you plan on doing it?" he asked while sipping his tea and Sirius laughed quietly. "I wanted everyone to join for dinner in a week. I wanted Lily and Marlene to take her to see the twins and then you all could help me set up the flat." I explained while they both nodded. "I'll owl everyone!" Sirius yelled making Remus roll his eyes. "Goodnight Regulus." Remus said quietly walking after Sirius. "Goodnight." I mumbled before cheering silently, I made my way back up to our room and slipped into bed. I pulled her close to me and kissed her head gently. "I love you, Violet."
