Violet's pov

5 Years Later May 2, 2003

"Does Roscoe know you are up smoking?" Andromeda asked, smiling from the doorway. "He does not." I smiled and flicked the dull cigarette bud off the balcony. Andromeda walked over to me and hugged me. "It's been five years today. Is it bad I still miss him, like I lost him yesterday?" I asked, turning to face her. "I still miss Dora like I only lost her yesterday." Andromeda admitted. "Mom? Auntie Andy? It's 2 in the morning." Roscoe yawned. "Sorry, buddy. Let's go." I smiled and took his hand.

I kissed Andromeda and walked to Roscoe and I's room in Andromeda's house. Roscoe, Grace and I have yet to go back to the Black house. In five years we have avoided the house completely. Freeing Kreacher but he just followed us to Andromeda's house. "Mom, you were smoking again." Roscoe scolded. "You are spending too much time with your Aunt Andy." I laughed, he shrugged and climbed into bed. I joined and he cuddled up next to me. "I know what today is mom." He whispered.

I wiped my tears and smiled at him, "I only did it for tonight, love." I kissed his forehead. "Can you tell me about dad?" Roscoe asked, cuddling closer. I laughed and played with his grown out curly hair. "What would you like to know?" I smiled, placing kisses on his forehead and nose. "What kind of a person was dad?" He questioned, pulling the blankets over us. I smiled and looked down at Roscoe.

"Well, your father was a man with many secrets." I laughed slightly. "Before we dated, he was so, as your uncles would say, whipped for me. He did everything in his power to protect me. There was a time he went down the wrong path, when he did that I was put at risk because he fancied me. He fought and pleaded and begged to ensure I was kept safe. When we dated, he stopped going down that path, he turned his life around to keep me.

When we got married and before Grace, he was constantly ensuring my comfort and well being. On top of making sure I was spoiled, he was a jokester. Much like Freddie and Georgie. Except he didn't pull pranks, more jokes and teasing. There was a time he made fun of me for trying to cook dinner. I was fighting with Kreacher, you know how he likes to do everything. Your father was very protective of all of us. You can ask Freddie how much of a hard time he got from your dad." I smiled and played with Roscoe's hair. "Did dad always put us first?" He asked.

"Oh of course. Your dad risked his life to not only save us three, but he did it so you could grow up in a world without wars and death eaters. Your father is and was an amazing man. I could not have asked for a better man to be your and Grace's father. I only wish you got to spend more time with him. Three years was not enough." I wiped my tears, Roscoe kissed my cheek. "Mom?" Roscoe asked, pulling my hair back. "Yes, love?" I smiled. "You need sleep." He laughed, I smiled and held him close to me.

"What am I going to do when you leave for Hogwarts?" I teased, cuddling up to him. "You can cuddle Teddy!" He smiled, I kissed his head and we fell asleep together. Over the past five years, Roscoe has been cuddling me to sleep when he finds me and/or me and Andromeda up late. Freddie and Grace have been dating still, she helps Fred and George run the shop. Ron and Hermione got married last year. Harry and Ginny have been married and Ginny is pregnant with their first. Draco and Astoria have been married for two years and are pregnant with their first. George has been dating Oliver Wood for a year. Teddy is 5 and Charlie has been an amazing father. Bill and Fleur had their first kid already.

I finished a shower and got dressed in black undergarments, slid on black jeans and Regulus' old green satin button up. Roscoe walked in and sat on my bed watching me put on makeup. I looked in the mirror and swear I saw Regulus staring at me, with how similar Roscoe and Regulus look. I turned around and kissed Roscoe's head. "You look so much like your father. Your curly hair and your facial structure." I smiled before finishing my makeup. "It doesn't upset you?" Roscoe questioned. "No, love. It makes me a bit happier that I get to see bits of him in you and Grace." I assured as we walked down the steps to the large living and dining room.
