Chapter 5

Violet's pov

Waking up the next morning in my bed confused me. The last thing I remember was sitting in Regulus' lap and talking with the group. I groan in pain from getting hit with a pillow in the face.

"Marlene! I am up! There was no need to hit me." I groan, throwing the pillow back at her. "Yes, but if you stay in bed any longer you'll be late." Marlene says cheerily.

Forcing myself out of bed, I make my way to my wardrobe to grab my white button up, black skirt, Gryffindor tie and my robe. After finishing getting dressed, I realize I have time to do make up or go eat. My grumbling stomach caused me to tie my long light brown hair up in a ponytail. I put on mascara and grab my books and wand, making my way down the stairs. I enter the common room, to notice Remus and Sirius waiting for me.

"Bloody hell, it's about time!" Sirius cheers, noticing me walking down the stairs. I roll my eyes and hug Sirius then Remus. "Thank you for waiting." I mutter into the hug. "No need to thank us, Vi." Remus says rubbing my back. "Exactly! But there is a need for urgency. I'm hungry, let's go love." Sirius exclaims, dragging me and Remus out of the common room and down to the Great Hall.

As I take my seat next to Remus, Marlene places herself on my right side. With Sirius sitting across from us along with James and Lily. Next to Remus is Molly and Arthur and across from them is Alice and Frank. "Hey Vi! You have McGonagall before lunch right?" James asks with a devilish smirk. I laugh slightly before answering. "Yes, James I do. What do you three need now?" I ask before continuing to eat my fruit and muffin.

I feel a cold hand on my side, and a gentle kiss on my temple. "Morning, love." Regulus whispers with his raspy voice. I turn and face him making James pout that I got distracted. "Morning, Reg." I say cheerfully before turning back, noticing James, Remus, and Sirius staring at me impatiently. "What?" I groan, rubbing my forehead.

"After class, distract her. We have a plan but need a bit more time." James says while Sirius gives me puppy eyes. "Yeah, yeah I'll do it okay. Stop with the eyes Sirius it's weird." I state earning chuckles from around the table.

During Transfiguration, Regulus sat next to me, making Marlene groan, she now has to sit next to Crabbe. I laugh slightly, making her throw a paper at me. Halfway through the lesson, I noticed Regulus become bored, he is now messing with his wand. I suppress a giggle when he drops his wand, this causes him to place his hand on my bare thigh. I automatically stop laughing and stiffen. 

He smirks, slowly he rubs his fingers against my thigh, rubbing his fingers up and down, occasionally pinching my thigh gently. I shoot him a glare when he reaches the bottom of my skirt. Professor walks next to Regulus and drops his book on the desk making him jump. "Mister Black. I suggest you stop flirting with Miss Lupin and focus." She gives a tight lip smile before walking away. I hold in my laughter as Regulus is now a bright shade of red. The bell rings dismissing everyone for lunch.

I get up and begin to think what to say to distract her. "Miss Lupin." She says knocking away all my thoughts. "Yes, Professor?" I ask, smiling at her. "Mind staying back for a minute Professor Dumbledore and I would like to speak up you?" She asks, returning the smile. "Oh, sure." I say a bit surprised and relieved that I didn't need to distract her. "Mister Black, you may leave." She says eyeing Regulus. "Actually, Professor can he stay?" I ask, giving her a hopeful smile. She nodded and Regulus sat next to me.

"Sorry, to keep you waiting. This will be quick Miss Lupin." Dumbledore says smiling at me, I nod encouraging him to continue. "Alright well, Miss Lupin I wanted to inform you that you have the option to finish school this year." He says quite quickly. "I'm sorry, what? I don't understand." I ask looking between McGonagall and Dumbledore.
