Violet's pov
As dinner came to a close the prefects took the first years around to show them to their dorms. Molly, Alice, Arthur, and Frank took off to direct the Gryffindor first-years to the common room. "We can't wait to hear about your walk!" Molly and Alice cheer walking past me. I shook my head and stood up from the table, James wraps his arm over my shoulder and immediately starts messing up my hair. "James! You twat!" I yell while pushing James off me. "Lily, control your boyfriend!" I spit while glaring at James, who now turns red. Sirius walks behind James and pats him on the back slowly. "Mate, you got a little something right there." Sirius says while pointing towards his cheeks. "Yea, it's all over your cheek, Prongs." Remus adds pointing in the same area as Sirius did. James starts wiping his cheeks looking at the two boys. "What is it? It's not coming off." James says a little irritated. "Oh, James relax it's just a little bit of blush!" Sirius announces before him and Remus erupts in laughter. Lily, Marlene and I join in on the laughter, I stop laughing as I feel cold hands rest on my waist. My group of friends slowly stop their laughter.
"Ready for that walk, Violet?" Regulus gently speaks causing chills to shoot through my body. I let out a deep breath and nod before turning to face him. "Awe, little Lupin is fli-" James gets cut off with Lily covering his mouth. I send her a grateful smile and James a deadly glare, before walking with Regulus out of the Great Hall. Regulus keeps one hand around my waist as we walk out. "Keep your hand above her waist, Black!" Remus shouts from behind us. I place my hand on my forehead, while Regulus turns around and winks at my brother.
"You know, with the way they behave, it seems like you have three brothers not one." Regulus laughs as he pulls me closer. I let out a small laugh, "Yea, it does seem that way." I mutter. "Tell me Lupin, why have we never met before?" Regulus asks as we stroll through the corridors. "Difference in friend groups I assume." I state before shivering a bit, a large gust of wind pushed past us, as we walked passed the courtyard. Regulus notices my shivering and stops in his tracks, which I don't notice, he grabs my wrist and pulls me into his chest. He wraps his arms around me, I nuzzle into his chest, finally feeling warm again. He lets out a small laugh, causing me to look up at him. "What's so funny, Black?" I question, he slowly looks down at me placing a hand on my cheek.
I look into his dark brown eyes, waiting patiently for a response. "My brother sent the cold air through us. Your brother is punching him right now." He says, still staring into my hazel eyes, laughing lightly. I smile at him while he pushes my hair behind my ear again. He leans closer to me, our lips almost touching. "Sirius! Where is Regulus?" Bellatrix yells at Sirius, from down the hall. Regulus groans and leans his head back, slowly he looks back at me. "We will have to continue this later. Good night, Violet." Regulus whispers into my ear before kissing my cheek. "Good night Regulus." I whisper back as he pulls away from me, his fingers graze my sides, sending chills through my whole body.
"Bloody hell, Bella. What do you want?" Regulus groans walking towards his cousin. "What's got your wand in a knot?" Bella sneers back. "He was trying to snog someone and you interrupted, Bella!" Sirius exclaims dramatically, to which Bella hits him. I walk over to the group and almost immediately Lily and Marlene grab me. "Good night boys, Bella!" the three of us shout as we run to the Gryffindor common room. Molly and Alice just finished with the first years and followed us up to my dorm. "Spill, right now!" The girls cheer as we place ourselves on the bed.
"It was nothing really, we talked about why we have never met before. The fact that it seems like I have three brothers instead of one with James and Sirius. Then how Sirius sent wind towards us and how my brother punched him. And finally, he was going to kiss me, at least I think he was going to. Then Bellatrix, interrupted and instead he settled for a kiss on the cheek." I say and take a deep breath after. "Bella, did sort of ruin the moment." Marlene states causing Lily to hum in agreeance. "So, when's the next date?" Molly questioned. "I hardly call that a date Molly!" I announce walking into the Gryffindor common room. I walk backwards continuing to look at the girls who are now following me down. "I mean as lovely as it was, that was not a date!" I announced once again. "But he kissed you!" Alice states, earning nods and hums from the rest of the girls. "On the cheek Alice, doesn't count. So no, I don't consider that a date." I say once more before turning around to face the door and the sofas. I freeze in my place as I realize James, Sirius, Remus, Peter, and Regulus are all smiling smugly at me. I feel my cheeks get hot, just now understanding they heard everything.
