Chapter 17

Violet's pov

After Regulus got quite a bit of teasing from Remus and Sirius, I walked in and wrapped my arms around his middle, placing a kiss on his cheek before turning to look at Sirius and Remus. "I think you look lovely, Regulus." I announced, earning a kiss from Regulus and groans from the other two. After finishing lunch, Remus and I washed the dishes while Regulus and Sirius devised a plan for getting Harry back. "Vi! What if we threaten them?" Sirius states, cheerfully. I glare at him and he throws his hands up in surrender. "We could always make a deal with them. Say they get him for one month in the summer." Remus added. We all looked at Remus, shyly he turned to put a plate away. "That could work as a last resort. First we say that he is ours, Lily and James made us his godparents, and if they fight we say they get a month with him." I explain Remus' plan, Regulus and Remus nod while Sirius stares at me. "I still think threatening would work the best." Sirius shrugs before standing up.

"Violet! Are you home?" Narcissa shouts from the living room. I walk out of the kitchen and into the living room, Regulus, Sirius and Remus follow behind me. "Yes! Oop!" I exclaim as Draco runs into me. "Hey buddy! How are you?" I ask, kissing his head and hugging him. "I'm good! Severus bought me a potion kit, and I have been trying to make potions and I may have burnt the kitchen floor, but the-" Draco rambled on until Lucius sneered. "Draco, compose yourself! You are a Malfoy, act like it." Lucius sneered, I glared at him and picked Draco up. He had sad eyes as I lifted his face up. "Tell me more, Draco." I state sitting on the couch with him in my lap.

He beamed and sat in my lap facing me, he played with the front strands of my hair before continuing. "But then Dobby came and fixed the floor. And then he showed me what went wrong and look, I made this potion!" Draco finished smiling brightly as I took the potion bottle. "That's lovely, Draco. Well, aren't you just the smartest." I smiled before kissing his forehead. He sat on my lap and played with my hair, I directed my attention to Narcissa. She smiled brightly at me before sitting across from me. "As you know, Lucius has some influence with the Hogwarts staff." She explained and I nodded. "I thought it would be a good idea to get you on the staff. Before you say no! You wouldn't be a full teacher, you would assist all the teachers with whatever they needed." Narcissa stated before looking at me with hopeful eyes.

I looked at Regulus, he smiled at me. "Does that mean I get to stay on campus with her?" Regulus asked before winking at me. Narcissa nodded making Regulus cheer silently. I laughed at his childish demeanor. "Does Dumbledore even want me there?" I ask while rubbing Draco's back. "Honestly Violet, who cares. Just take it, you'll be close to Harry." Lucius stated annoyed at my question. "Fine, I'll take it!" I shout, making Narcissa cheer. Lucius nods and writes a letter to have a meeting with the rest of the members. Sirius, Regulus and Remus congratulate me, while Draco kisses my cheek. "You'll be able to watch Draco, Fred, George, Ron and Harry." Narcissa announces, I smile widely at the idea.

"You will start next year. Dumbledore is aware of a new aid for the Professors but he does not know it is you. I wouldn't let him know it's you until after you sign the contract. Which will be sent before the end of this year." Lucius explains, I nod gratefully. "Draco, let's go." Lucius spits walking to the fireplace. "I don't want to go! I wanna stay with Auntie Vi!" Draco compliance before begging his mom. He leans into me and I hold him tight, Narcissa looks at Lucius. "Go, we will be home for dinner." She states simply before talking with Regulus and Sirius. Remus sits next to me and watches as Draco mumbles about potions.

Christmas Holiday

Remus, Sirius, Regulus and I make our way to the Burrow, we are greeted by Molly, Arthur, Bill, Ron, and Ginny. Ron and Ginny run up to me and hug my legs. I pick Ginny up and set her on my hip, Ron holds my hand and takes me into the kitchen. "Charlie, Percy, Fred and George should be here in 5 minutes." Molly announced as she kissed my cheek and took Ginny from me, Ginny pouted as she was placed away from me. Ron took a seat next to Ginny while Bill sat across from Ron and Ginny. Sirius, Remus and Regulus all sat on the same side as Bill, conversing amongst each other. Exactly 5 minutes later, the front door to the Burrow was thrown open with Fred and George running through the house.
