Violet's pov

"Good morning, Snivellus!" I cheered, plopping on the chair and rolling to his desk. He glared up at me and rolled his eyes. "Did you talk to Narcissa?" I mumbled, playing with the quill. He sighed and put down the papers. "Violet, I'm busy." He stated as if it wasn't obvious. I rolled my eyes and fiddled with the quill. I let out long sighs, making him irritated. "You haven't changed have you?" He sneered.

"Obviously not! Now tell me!" I exclaimed. He placed the papers down and looked at me. "I spoke with Narcissa, Rose, Cassius and Lucius." He began, I straightened up in the chair. "Narcissa and Rose are completely out of it. They have no idea what is going on besides Pansy has been acting on edge." I nodded allowing him to continue. "I spoke with Cassius first, if he does have something planned he didn't tell me. He only mentioned the Dark Lord being angry." He paused.

"As for Lucius, his only plan is something to do with Draco during Christmas. Lucius and Cassius are getting out of Azkaban a week before Christmas." He finished explaining. "Okay, so we shouldn't be at the Black house for Christmas then, right?" I asked, messing with my fingers. "That would be the safe bet, but-" I cut him off. "We'll stay at the Burrow! I mean it's pretty safe and Lucius doesn't know that we practically live with them." I explained.

I looked over at Severus and noticed he had a frustrated, yet sad look about him. "Wha-what's wrong?" I asked, looking closer at his expression. "VI! Oh sorry, um Vi we- I need you." Harry fumbled his words. I nodded and walked out of his room. "What's up love?" I asked, pulling him into my chest. "Dumbledore asked me to get close with Slughorn, something about finding out crucial information." Harry explained, I let out a groan.

"That man is always putting you in harm's way." I growled, Harry hugged me tight. "Mom, I want to do this. I want to help anyway I can." He assured me, I nodded. "So, how do I get on his good side?" He asked, I let out a small laugh. "Just channel your inner Lily Evans, Slughorn loved her, I was a close second." I smiled. "We can go talk to him right now." I walked us to his classroom.

"Morning Professor!" I greeted, sitting down on a desk. "Ah, Violet. I actually need your brain." He smiled and ushered me over. I winked at Harry and walked to his potion. I am trying to make Liquid Luck again, but I can't seem to figure out what exactly I am missing." He thought aloud. I looked into the potion and back at the book. "Sir, if I may?" Harry asked walking closer. Slughorn nodded and moved him and I aside. Harry pulled out his book and began to add certain ingredients. Slughorn went to stop him from adding something but I pulled him back.

"He has his mother's brain, thankfully." I whispered. Slughorn laughed and nodded. "James Potter, brilliant man, but a bit of a nutter, no?" Slughorn teased. I laughed and nodded my head. "This is why you were mine and Lily's favorite Professor, Sluggie!" I nudged him a bit. Harry finished the potion and it was near perfect. "Told you he has Evans' brain. And if he had James' I'm sure me and you would have been dead." I teased, Slughorn laughed and walked over to Harry.

In Heaven

"Marlene, pay up! I told you my son would have my brain." Lily teased, holding her hand out. "Remind me again why I cared for Violet. THANKFULLY! I am smart! NUTTER!" James shouted toward Violet as if she could hear him. "Mate, she got you good. Even when you are dead she doesn't miss the chance to bash you." Sirius laughed. "Don't worry, James. Harry got your quidditch abilities." Marlene tried to help. "As soon as Vi gets here, the first thing I'll do is hex her." James grumbled.
