Chapter One- Relax

"Check mate" 'Garnet said as she moved a pawn on the chessboard, having fully boxed in Amethysts king'

"Dang it! Why do I play this with you!?" 'Amethyst asked in annoyance, earning a chuckle from the fusion infront of her'

"Because you're off work. Plus Chip is still asleep and I didnt feel like waking him and Aurora up" 'Garnet said with a light tone of amusement, earning a dramatic huff from Amethyst'

"I thought he would be awake by noon atleast! It's almost three" 'Amethyst said in exasperation as she began resetting her side of the chessboard'

"The two of them had a pretty rough morning" 'Garnet said as she reset her side of the board aswell'

"What did they have a fight or something?" 'Amethyst asked in concern, looking up from the chess board'

"I wouldn't say they were fighting. But I do believe they both aired their grievances. And they will be feeling much better because of it" 'Garnet said with a small smile crossing her face'

'The two of them were cut off the by Gem door opening. Causing the two gems to turn to it'

'Aurora yawned quietly as she ducked under the door, stretching as she fully stood up'

"There's one of them!" 'Amethyst said enthusiastically, earning a chuckle from Aurora'

"How did you sleep?" 'Garnet asked curiously as Aurora walked past her, stopping in the kitchen'

"Oh you know. Could have been better" 'Aurora said with a tired smile, her hair and eyes flickering weakly'

"Is Chip awake? I was gonna get his help for something at little homeworld" Amethyst asked curiously'

"Nope! Still asleep. And I dont wanna be away from him for too long" 'Aurora said bluntly as she filled a cup with water'

"And why is that?" 'Garnet asked with an amused smile'

"Cuddles mostly. That and im probably gonna pass back out" 'Aurora said after chugging the water and placing the cup in the sink'

"Are you sure that's all?" 'Garnet asked as Aurora walked past her, causing her to stop behind Garnet'

"That and I dont want him to be alone right now. It's not good for him" 'Aurora admitted, earning a light smirk from Amethyst'

"You two are adorable together" 'Amethyst said supportively'

"I dont think so. I just think people tend to forget what a healthy and supportive relationship looks like!" 'Aurora said in a cocky tone before walking back to the gem door, letting it open for her'

'As Aurora walked through the door it closed behind her. Causing her eyes to adjust to the darkness. Her natural purple glow being the only source of light save for the telivision screen'

'Aurora carefully made her way to the bed, doing her best to silently crawl under the covers'

"You're not very sneaky." 'Chip said tiredly  as Aurora rested her back against the head board, earning a sigh from her'

"I didn't want you to wake up!" 'Aurora said in a frustrated tone, earning a drowsy but clearly amused giggle from Chip as he sat up'

'As he sat up Chip found Aurora had wrapped her arms around his midsection, pulling him into a hug'

"You're not going anywhere bub" 'Aurora said definitely as she rested her chin atop Chip's head. Only serving to confuse him further'

"I wasn't going anywhere in the first place" 'Chip said drowsily, attempting to resist against Aurora's hold'

"No! You need to rest more. Your battery is still low and I'm still tired" 'Aurora said in defiance as she scooted down the bed, falling into a position where she was laying down'

"Why are you like this?" 'Chip asked with a sigh, earning an evil giggle from the taller metamorin woman'

"What? Do I not make a good body pillow?" 'Aurora asked teasingly, holding Chip down ever so slightly tigher'

"I never said that" 'Chip said in mild defense of himself as he stopped resisting'

"Why are you so cuddly today?" 'Chip asked curiously, earning a scoff from Aurora'

"Please dont even pretend to have forgotten what happened this morning. We both need this" 'Aurora said in minld frustration before pulling the blankets over both of them'

'A small smirk crossed Aurora's face as she adjusted herself'

"You dont need a pillow?" 'Aurora asked teasingly, earning a mildly annoyed glowing blue blush from Chip'

"No I do not need a pillow Aurora" 'Chip said in exasperation earning a stifled chuckle from her'
