Chip could be seen floatin in the center of a large room. A set of wires and devices were connected to every part of his body. Tethering him mid air.
Stretch and Peridot were stood in an observation booth, tapping away at a set of screens.
"Sheesh. Whoever got into his head really threw down. Like a bull in a china shop" Stretch said with a grimace.
"Indeed. They certainly didn't spare any expenses when it came to infiltration"
"Not helping you two" Carbonite said sternly, looking towards both Peridot and her wife.
"Sorry" the two replied.
"Who would do such a thing to him?" Blue asked in a somber tone, having sat down in the observation booth. Her emotions threatening to get the better of her once more.
"I'm not sure. But whoever it was. They're an amazing hacker. Im trying to triangulate the source of the attack" Stretch stated in thought.
"You can do that?" Lapis Asked in surprise, having only recently been filled in on the situation. After ariving late to homeworld.
"Well normally no. But due to Chip's advanced processor there is enough of a cyber trail remaining to have a chance at finding where it came from" Stretch stated, not looking from her various screens.
"And I'm beefing up his firewall! Next time they wont get through so easy!" Peridot stated proudly in turn.
"Oh Chip..." Blue said as she looked through the window. A few tears rolling down her face.
Blue's attention was caught by Garnet placing a hand on her arm, causing the diamond to look down to her.
"I still havent forgiven you for all you've done. But for Chip's sake I am willing to put that aside for now"
"You have the full support of the Crystal Gems throughout this"
"Chip will be alright. Im sure you know by now. But our son dosent exactly go down without a fight" Garnet finished, looking through the glass.
A small smile formed across Blue's face, gently placing her fingers against Garnet's back. As if holding her.
"I am truly sorry to the both of you. I treated you in such a horrible manner"
"Yet here I sit in your debt" Blue stated, earning a step back from Garnet as her eyes widened.
"You took care of Chip in my place. You have shaped him into a such a gentleman" Blue said with a sniffling chuckle.
"You were the mother I could not be" Blue finished, earning a sigh from Garnet.
"You're his mother too" Garnet said simply.
