A Living Machine. Chapter Two ( A Steven Universe Fanfiction)

Getting Help

White Diamond was standing in the head of the Diamond mech, having just finished one of her daily radio show like broadcasts.

However a small Hematite gem approaches her, catching her attention.

"Yes? What is it?" White Diamond asked curiously.

"My apologies Ma'am. But the Eclipse has been detected exiting Warp Space" The Hematite explained, slight excitment audible in her voice.

"Oh! Well hail it"

"Pull it up on screen!" White said with an excited clap.

As the screen flickered to life. White seemed to fix her "hair" gently puffing it out.

"Chip dear! I am so happy to see you-"

White cut herself off as the image was displayed, showing a disoriented Aurora reeling in the pilot's seat. Having disconnected from the Eclipse after landing.

"Aurora? What are you doing here?" White asked in genuine surprise.

"Well....we need help. Chip isn't doing so well and we dont have the tech or know how to fix him" Aurora explained, sending a wave of concern over White's face.

"What's wrong?! Is he alright?" White asked as she shooed away a gem.

"He was hacked. We dont know by who but we do know they did a lot of damage to his code. He's stable for now but he wont be for long" Aurora explained.

"Then bring him in! I will call for Blue to meet you there. I will come down as soon as possible!" White said urgently, earning a nod from Aurora before she hung up.

"Ma'am we have another broadcast in-"

"Oh hush! We dont have time for that right now" White said sternly as she turned from the static filled screen.

"Send for the Peridot's to prepare the new repair chamber. I will go get Blue and Yellow" White stated urgently, walking away at a brisk pace.

Aurora was seen carrying Chip, the other Crystal gems close behind Aswell.

"Hey, Hey, HEY! IT'S STEV-"

"WOAH HOLD UP!" Spinel said as she went screeching by 5he group.

"WHAT HAPPENED TO CHIP?!" Spinel asked in shock at seeing Aurora carrying his once again unconsious form.

"He was hacked Spinel. We brought him here to fix him" Steven explained, earning an angry expression from Spinel as she transformed her right hand into an enlarged fist.

"Who was it? I'LL WALLOP EM!!" Spinel shouted as she begun to spin her fist, creating a cartoon like whirl wind effect.

"Easy fire cracker. We dont know who it was, for now let's focus on getting the kid some help yeah?" Bismuth explained, seeming to ease the fire in Spinel's metaphorical belly.

The group stopped as the ground quaked. An uneasy expression crossing all of their faces.

Then it quaked again, then again. And again.

Closer together, more rapid. As if something large was approching, and fast.

The doors of the large building burst open as Blue Diamond practically broke them off of their hinges.

"Where is my child?!" Blue asked in a mixture of anger and worry.

Her attention was caught by Aurora, who had an expression that seemed to say "oh god" across her face.

Aurora was promptly swooped up by Blue, bringing her to eye level.

"Aurora! What is going on. His gem is going haywire!" Blue asked in worry, tears threatening to fall.

"Blue he is okay. For now. We dont have time to discuss the details right now. Can you get us to the repair bay?" Aurora asked, causing Blue to take in a breath, steadying herself.

"Right. I'll take you there myself" Blue said with a nod, quickly sprinting off into another direction.

"OH SO THAT'S AURORA!" Spinel shouted in realization, a thoughtful expression crossing her face.

"I see why the toaster boy likes her so much!" Spinel said with a slight chuckle, catching the attention of the gems.

"What? I never met her when i was on earth"

She was met with continued blank stares.

"He has a type!"

Spinel's personal defense was caught off guard by White stumbling through the door that Blue had broken, seeming to be breathing heavy.

"I've never been so exhausted...how can she move so quickly?"
