Chapter One- A Clean Conscience

'Aurora found herself laying in bed with Chip. It was early in the morning and she had decided to watch a movie instead of wake him up'

'As she was watching the show Aurora briefly looked over to Chip, placing a hand on his head'

'Upon contact Aurora felt a brief spark of energy transfer to her hand as a familiar engine like rumble began to come from Chip. Earning a soft smile from the taller Metamorin'

'As her galaxy like eyes turned a shade of pink Aurora turned her attention back to the television'

'Suffice to say now that Chip was back on earth Aurora had been much happier. Not only did she feel like she could protect him if need be. But she was happy to be able to help him mentally as well'

'He may not have said so or even mentioned it. But she could tell he was still not truly over everything that had happened'

'She wanted to help him the best she could. And she would damn well do whatever she had to. To make that happen'

'Aurora paused as she heard a light static like glitch, causing her to turn back to Chip'

'A pang of worry pulsed through her mind as Aurora recognized the sound. In the past before he went back to homeworld. Chip had frequent nightmares'

'Surely enough Chip's fingers were twitching as he slept, light flickers of green and red light could be seen coming from his gem'

'The light flickered in tune with both the static and his twitching. His left arm twitched momentarily. Producing a low metallic groan from the sudden movement'

'Aurora softly ran her hand through Chip's hair. In an attempt to calm him down without waking him'

'The gesture only seemed to intensify the episode before Chip abruptly sat up with his engine suddenly roaring to life'

'His eyes came online with each eye socket having a blood red pentagram form within them. His right arm producing a large red blade of energy'

'Aurora quickly restrained Chip as her own defensive protocol activated, her helmet nearly having formed over her head'

"Hey! Hey. Take it easy!" 'Aurora said loudly as she held Chip's arms in place, using the difference in size between them to her advantage'

'Chip's eyes narrowed in aggravation momentarily before he seemed to realize who he was looking at'

'Chip's eyes slowly turned blue as the pentagrams in his eyes faded. The glowing red energy blade his arm had produced deactivating at the same time'

'As he came to his senses a look of horror crosses Chip's face. Causing his eyes to turn a dark purple color, tears beginning to well up in his eyes'

"I d-didn't"

"I know I know. Deep breaths hun" 'Aurora said reassuringly as she brought Chip into a hug. Instantly recognizing the severity of the situation'

"I'm so. SO sorry...." 'Chip said with his voice beginning to glitch and stutter. Causing Aurora to tighten her grip on him'

"What in the world could you have been dreaming about for your demon core to activate like that?!" 'Aurora asked in a horrified tone as she pulled back from the hug to look at Chip'

'Aurora's horrified state was broken up slightly as if she felt her metaphorical heart shatter'

'Chip had fallen into a full blown nervous breakdown. His diamond shaped eyes had fully turned purple, streams of purple glowing tears having begun to roll down his face'
