Chapter One: Okay....

'Aurora found herself standing with Amethyst outside of the metal dome that housed the Metamorin reactor'

"Y'know that thing produces like a TON of radiation right?" 'Aurora asked in mild alarm, earning a sigh from Amethyst'

"Yeah, Chip made that pretty clear before he went in there" 'Amethyst said in defeat'

'Aurora stands in silence for a moment before she started to walk towards the opening, stopping as the blue glow that had been coming from the opening in the dome, had turned a bright green'

'After a few moments Chip comes stumbling out of the opening, his left arm still being transformed into a large welder like device'

"Okay! The reactor's maximum radioactive output has been lowered. If ANY gems have to work on this thing make sure they wear a hazard suit, otherwise. CALL ME" 'Chip stated in a frustrated tone of voice, pointing at Amethyst as he did so'

"Thanks dude!" 'Amethyst said with a chuckle, earning a growl from Chip'

"You anger me small gem..." 'Chip states coldly, earning a snort from Amethyst as she tried to suppress a laugh'

'Before he can say anything further Chip was lifted up by Aurora, causing his eyes to go from the frustrated orange glow they had to a briefly alarmed purple glow'

"I was wondering where you went!" 'Aurora said enthusiastically as she hugged Chip from behind, knowing fully well that Chip was frustrated'

'Chip let out a sigh as his eyes flickered back to orange, a dull pink center being visible to his eyes'

"You're making it very difficult to be mad right now y'know" 'Chip said to Aurora, earning a small smile from her'

"Yes I am aware of this. That's kinda the point" 'Aurora stated with a light chuckle, resting her chin atop Chip's head as she did so'

"On a more serious note!" 'Aurora said as she dropped Chip, letting him land on the ground'

"Where DID you get a Hydron reactor?" 'Aurora asked curiously'

"We grabbed it from the crashed ship that we found Chip in. It was just rotting away in there so we decided to use it to power little homeworld" 'Amethyst explained, causing Aurora to turn to Chip'

"Wait, really?" 'Aurora asked curiously, earning a hesitant nod from Chip'

"I haven't gone back...since i was first brought online. It's...basically a grave now" 'Chip said in a slightly uncomfortable tone'

'Aurora softly took Chip's hands into her own, causing him to look up to her'

"Can you take me there?" 'Aurora asked softly, earning a cringe from Chip'

"Aurora I-"

"Please? I'll be right there with you" 'Aurora asked again, a supportive tone being audible in her voice'

'Amethyst stood with a smile on her face, watching Chip metaphorically crumble'

"...Okay, if it means that much to you" 'Chip said quietly in agreement, earning a small smile from Aurora'

"While you two do that! I'm gonna go back to the temple" 'Amethyst said before shapeshifting back into a bird'

'As Amethyst started to fly away she felt the a small gust of wind as both Chip and Aurora took off'

'Amethyst watched as the two flew off into the distance before she continued on her path'

'After a short flight she arrived back at the beach house, shapeshifting back into her casual form'

"How'd it go? Did Chip fix the reactor?" 'Pearl asked curiously as Amethyst walked back inside'

"Eh, he made it make less radiation. So that's a plus I guess" 'Amethyst said with a shrug, sitting down on the couch'

"I'm going to assume he's with Aurora. What are they up too?" 'Pearl asked curiously, not looking up from the meal she was preparing'

"Aurora wanted to see the ship we found Chip in" 'Amethyst said bluntly, catching Pearl's full attention'

"And he agreed?" 'Pearl asked in surprise, earning a nod from Amethyst, causing a surprised smile to cross her face'

"That girl really is full of surprises. Chip has adamantly refused to go until now" 'Pearl said with a chuckle, having returned her attention to the work in progress meal in front of her'

"I mean, does that really surprise you? She can get him to do pretty much anything, and vice-versa " 'Amethyst admitted earning a nod from Pearl'

"That is true" 'Pearl said in agreement, a small chuckle escaping from her'
