A Living Machine. Chapter Two ( A Steven Universe Fanfiction)

Chapter One: "Tension"

'Aurora found herself slowly following Chip through a deep under brush, softly pushing the twigs and branches In front of her out of the way'

'Aurora had been worried for quite a while by now, the flight here was nearly silent and Chip had yet to speak while they were romping through the bush'

'She could tell he wasn't upset, but he wasn't happy either'

"Babe?" 'Aurora said softly, catching Chip's attention'

"Yes love?" 'Chip responded in a soft tone of voice, ducking under a branch as he did so'

"Are you allright?" 'Aurora asked in concern'

'Chip continued walking in silence for a moment before sighing'

"Yeah I'm allright. I'm just not overly fond of this place" 'Chip explained vaguely, earning a soft but concerned expression from Aurora'

"What do you....mean" 'Aurora asked, her voice quickly falling off as she walked into the small clearing that had been cut out'

'The remains of the Metamorin ship were as dilapidated as they first were when the crystal gems found him. But now there were various dirt graves that had been dug and filled, too many to count'

'Aurora's expression softened further as she watched Chip's posture drop, he had stopped in the center of the walk way'

"This is the ship they found me in. I was the only survivor out of well over one hundred separate people that were placed in the stasis pods the ship contained. Those were the only pods that still had remains inside of them" 'Chip explained quietly, his voice breaking momentarily'

"I don't know any of these people, but for some reason. I still feel guilty" 'Chip stated softly as Aurora walked up next to him, listening carefully'

"What string of luck would allow my body to survive, but not me" 'Chip asked, earning a mixture of concern and confusion from Aurora'

"I was Blood Diamond before this crash, So what caused my systems to fail so miserably that it caused a factory reset? I was probably responsible for this crash too...." 'Chip said with his eyes turning a dull blue color'

'Aurora softly brought Chip into a hug, feeling him hesitant lean into her'

"You weren't responsible for any of this. You know that. Just because your body was once controlled by a Diamond dictator doesn't mean you are him" 'Aurora said reassuringly '

"I know. But I'm still held responsible for his actions aren't I?" 'Chip asked meekly, causing Aurora to tighten her grasp on him'

"There is no reason for you too, and it's bullshit that you have been held accountable for his actions" 'Aurora said protectively'

'Aurora sat down in an attempt to be in a more appropriate level with Chip. Despite the fact she was still two and a half feet taller than him, despite the fact she had sat down'

"Honestly I don't have much trauma...besides you almost dying, that was worrying" 'Aurora said out of the blue, earning a snort from Chip'

"What the fuck hun?" 'Chip asked with a confused laugh, pulling away from the hug to look up to his girlfriend'

"What? It's the truth! That and it got you to laugh, so my objective is complete" 'Aurora said proudly, earning a shake of Chip's head, a small smile being present on his face'

"Besides. Even if your core systems were originally Blood Diamond's. They are now, yours" 'Aurora said before increasing her hold on Chip'

"And by extension your chassis is your own now, factory reset with your personality" 'Aurora continued, a small but warm smile crossing her face'

'Chip tensed up as he felt Aurora softened her hold on him, bringing him closer to her body ever so slightly more'

"And quite honestly. I'm more than convinced you turned out ten times better~" 'Aurora remarked in a sultry tone, her voice being but a light whisper, a weak purple blush having grown across her face, her eyes having also turned a pure pink color'

'Chip let out a series of high pitched beeps as his eyes went black, his hair exploding into pink flames briefly before he tensed up having crossed his arms'

"There we go~" 'Aurora stated with a smile, her hair gaining a pink glow as well, seeming to enjoy the situation quite a bit'

'Chip let out another series of beeps, albeit they were quieter than the previous, seeming to malfunction slightly as steam flowed from his hair'

"You're adorable when you're flustered!" 'Aurora said as she rested her forehead against Chip's, her glow not having changed a shade'

"Aurora. T-This is not the place for this" 'Chip stated nervously as his eyes came back online, glitching slightly, his usual diamond shaped eyes now glowing a bright pink'

'Aurora seemed to snap back to reality as she looked around, a purple embarrassed blush crossing her face as she softly stood up, helping Chip do the same'

'Aurora stood holding Chip's hands as her eyes went black, a conflicted expression crossing her face'

"I want to say I'm sorry....but I'm REALLY not" 'Aurora stated with a cough as she cleared her voice, trying to calm the burning sensation she was feeling in her chest'

"I-It's alright hun. It's not like I can say I didn't enjoy it....but there is a time and place for everything" 'Chip said with a nervous chuckle, trying to calm himself down as well'
