"System reboot complete"

"Intiating boot sequence"

The world flickered and flashed to life around him, both of his eyes being in different degrees of focus.

He shooked his head as his hud came online, flickering in an unstable manner.

"There he is! He's coming online!" Stretch said in urgency, her voice being nothing but a dull murmer to Chip.

The Metamorin sat up weakly, sparks of blue energy crackling off of his neck.

Carbonite was the first to get to Chip, lifting him up as if he weighed nothing.

"Are you okay?! WHAT HAPPENED?!" Carbonite asked as she shook Chip, causing him to grip his head.

"L-Loud..." Chip muttered meekly, causing Carbonite to put him down, a more timid expression crossing her face.

"His systems are recalibrating, just give him a little bit before being too loud" Aurora said softly as she approached, crouching down to Chip as he sat down.

"Hey love, how're ya doing?" Aurora asked softly, her glow flickering dimly.

"Head....hurts. S-System malfunctions detected" Chip said with a shaking voice.

His diamond shaped eyes had half way turned to a dull purple glow, earning a soft sigh from Aurora.

As Chip grit his teeth, gripping his head in pain a few more sparks of neon blue energy shot from his head, Aurora gently wrapped him in a soft embrace.

"I got you hun, you're safe. I won't let anything hurt you" Aurora said with a slight hint of guilt in her voice.

Chip's hud beeped and he whined as he checked the notification.

His eyes stabilized slightly as he tightened his grip on Aurora.

"You know how to use a Warhammer??" Chip asked in confusion as the crystal gems walked into the lab.

"Oh...you uh....remember that?" Aurora asked with a nervous laugh.

"Screen recording" Chip said simply.

"How is he doing?" Bismuth asked stretch, placing her hands in her hips.

"Well I managed to get him back online. But there are a good few infractions in his code"

"His reactor is sputtering, his memory banks are fragmented and his servos are locking up"

"Can you fix it?" Garnet asked in concern, earning a sigh from Stretch.

"I dont know...."

"I dont have the equipment in this Lab to access his internal systems. They're all admin locked"

"And his Lab is FAR to advanced for me, even if he did have what we need, I couldn't use it"

"Then what do we do?? He was hacked!" Pearl said in concern.

".....the Lab on Homeworld could have what I need to repair his code...but I know how you all feel about homeworld..." Stretch explained, her voice trailing off.

Pearl looked to Garnet in uncertainty, a hesitant expression visible on her face.

"We should probably tell Blue about his state" Garnet said inba matter of fact tone, earning a look of surprise from Pearl.

"Garnet are you-"

"I'm sure."

"Regardless of my feelings for her, she is still Chip's "biological" mother. She deserves to know about this"

"Besides. If it will help, it's a step we need to take" Garnet explained, looking to Chip as she did.
