"Professor Gary, I've done my research for the day can I go hom-" saying came a girl in the room.
"Sure why not, I was about to leave too" Gary replied.
"I didn't realize you were here too, Hello Sir" she bowed looking at me.
"I'm pretty sure, I've told you to not bow or call me sir. My name is Ash" I chuckled.
"I can't talk to the world champion and the last aura guardian like that, now can I?" she replied.
"Please also before you go, can you release all the Caterpies in the backyard?" Gary asked.
"Ca-ca-Caterpies?!!" she said as a blatant horror came onto her face, she hates bug type pokemon...just like a certain someone I know haha.
"Stop being Misty, cmon you can put them in their Pokeballs then release them from there right?" Gary suggested.
"Ah yes! I can do that!!" she said going out of the room.
"Follow me to the house, I have Pidgeot's Pokeball back home" Gary said turning back to me.
"Seems like you are quite busy around here" I chuckled as we started walking towards the back door of the lab.
"She's just one of the new interns that joined us a week ago man...I don't know how am I supposed to handle them all. Back when grandpa used to manage this place, it was quite organized now it's not so much" Gary sighed.
"It'll be fine, give it some time. You've just started working full time here and even Tracey is not here to help you out" I replied.
"Hopefully...Even Kenjo rarely comes out of his rooms man" he sighed.
"Uhm why?" I asked.
"Videogames, he's been playing this shooting game dude where instead of bomb they plant Voltorb at a bomb site," Garry said as he opened the back door of the lab.
"And why's that an issue" I closed the door behind us.
"He should be going out man, adventuring catching some pokemon, and making friends!" He said as we both walked towards his house which was settled behind the lab in a rather open and beautiful area.
"That's true..." I replied.
Crossing the pond with the bridge, we reached his door as Gary opened it up, surprisingly Kenjo was already wearing his shoes.
His eyes fell on us as he stood up.
"Dad!!!" he said hugging Gary.
"I brought some of your favourite sandwiches-" Gary began saying before Kenjo diverted his attention towards me.
"Ash Uncle!!" said Kenjo enthusiastically hugging me aswell. (Yes Kenjo, 3 am brain can't think of shit rn)
