The Promise We Did

Chapter 3

"You need to get stronger"

"Who are you?"

"You need to get stronger... You need to save everyone"

"Whom do i need to defeat, Who are you?"

"You need to-"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAA PIKACHUUUUUUUUUUUUUU" i screamed getting hit by a thunderbolt by Pikachu again. I looked around and saw my Mom and Pikachu standing there.

"Okay okay I'm up" i said.

"Good job Pikachu" she said caressing Pikachu.

"Pika!" he acknowledged the praise with a thumbs up.

"Ash get up and come down for breakfast" she said before heading out from my room.

"I'll be there" I replied and got up to get ready. During the shower I thought about the dream that occurred today. Lately these weird dreams and encounter has been rapidly increasing.

I got changed into new pair of clothes and headed towards kithchen. Pikachu was already busy finishing his ketchup while mom saw me coming in and told me to sit down on the chair there. I did as she told me and started thinking about these weird dreams and encounters, i dont know when I dozed off cause mom waved her hand in front of me and brought me back to my senses.

"Hello? Earth to Ash?" She said while waving.

"Oh sorry, I was just thinking something" I said as I saw a plate with my favourite chicken sandwich there.

"Thank you mom!" I said before finishing them in a second.

"If you eat this fast , you're gonna choke Ash" she said.

"Sorry" I pouted and finished my food.

I thought about going back where I encountered the blue glow before, to further investigate.

"Mom I'm heading out , I'll be back after a while" I said getting up.

"Nearby , in the jungle to train" i lied.

"Alright, watch out sweetie" she said.

Pikachu hopped onto my shoulder and we both together beamed out towards the same spot where I met Serena and encountered the Blue energy.

I reached there after a while just thinking about the energy and thinking about Serena , well i only came here to investigate about the blue energy but seeing this place just reminds me of Serena.

I sat under the tree just thinking about Her, my life and the blue energy.

Man i really care about Her now that I think of her , back when I travelled with her in Kalos I may not have been able to show it. Well hopefully we meet again I mean we have a Promise to fullfil right?

"Ash... I'll miss you a lot" she sobbed

"Serena , let's make a promise, we'll meet each other in future" I said trying to console her.

"I Promise" She replied , I saw her cheeks getting pinkish.

Man was i that dense back then?

Nothing was happening so i decided it will be good to just head back. But as soon as i stood up, there it was again. The blue light, this time it was a small orb floating around me. Pikachu stood in defensive position and fired a thunderbolt at it , But to our surprise , there was no effect. It glided through the air effortlessly before disappearing into thin air. 

"Who are you?" i shouted before it disappeared but got no reply.

I've had enough , i started heading back to professor's lab to tell him about the thing's that have been happening to me lately. I was surely dozed off in the way as i didn't see a flock of Beedrill chasing after what looked like a baby pokemon who's trying to fight them off.

"Riiiiiiiiiiiiiooooooooo" sent the pokemon a battle cry before sending what looked like a vaccum sphere towards the flock of Beadrill. It collided but had no effect. It's eye widened and wanted to run but the beadrills fired an poison fang towards the Pokemon. It covered It's face waiting for impact.

"Pikachu thunderbolt" i commanded Pikachu.

Pikachu followed my command and fired an thunderbolt towards the flock of Beadrill. It was enough to scare them off. The flock just flew away leaving the injured pokemon there.

I ran towards the pokemon and saw it's injured a lot. I picked it up in my arms, it tried escaping as it was scared, probably his trainer abandoned him. He bit me but i ignored that as it needed help. I ran towards Professor Oak's lab with Pikachu on my shoulder. After running as fast as i could , I reached the lab.

"Ash my boi" said Professor

"Later Professor , This pokemon here needs help" I said Panting.

"Bring him here" he pointed towards a room with a "+" sign on it.

I rushed him and placed him on a bed , Professor immediately started treating its wounds. I waited patiently outside.

After almost half an hour he came out.

"Professor, is the pokemon okay?" i asked

"Yeah don't worry, you can go visit him" he said. I nodded and followed him in the room. 

I saw the pokemon sitting there looking around confused, as soon as his eyes gazed upon me and Pikachu , it leapt at me hugging me tightly on my leg snuggling on my leg.

"I'm glad you're fine buddy" i said. 

I looked at the watch and saw the time. 

"Oh shit , i gotta go home" i said trying to head out. Instead the Pokemon just tightened its grip on me. 

"Huh?" i asked looking at the pokemon.

"Ri Ri Ri!!!" exclaimed the pokemon.

"I guess the Riolu wanna go with you Ash" said Professor Oak 

"You wanna come along buddy?" i asked the Baby Riolu.

"Ri Ri!" it nodded happily.

"Ok then" i said taking out a Pokeball and gently tapping it on his head.

After 3 shakes, i heard a click Indicating the Riolu was caught.

The Pokeball opened up and Riolu continued pushing the Pokeball away, "Ri Riol".

"I guess you don't like being in the Pokeball aswell, Alright you can hop on here!" i said pointing towards my other free shoulder. It jumped on it and had a huge grin plastered over him.

Then i took off to home, ready to show mom my new buddy and ready to eat all of the dinner that she prepared. After a while of running i had reached home, I held the knob and opened it.

"I'm home" i said Opening the door.
