The Promise We Did

Chapter 8

It's been a year since I've been here on Mt. Silver, no human contact other than sensei whom I doubt is even alive , considering he doesn't have a Shadow.

Other than him , i have my friends here Pikachu Lucario and Charizard. Its the same day last year when i came here , things have changed since then. Riolu evolved into Lucario not so long ago. Now that i think about it , it seems it just evolved to help me get stronger. He did it for me.....

"Sensei im trying my best" I said panting hard.

"You clearly aren't, you have no control over your Aura" he said in a strict tone.

"Now , go run up the mountain and jump on that rock there again" he instructed.
I did as instructed and jumped from the edge of the mountain towards the rock on the waterfall. I fumbled and slipped. The water current was just too fast to be fought against.

I got back to the shore coughing hard and panting. My body was just extensively exhausted. But sensei thought otherwise.

"Get up" he said

"I..I'm tired, I'm weak" I replied.

"You're not weak and you are tired cause you're letting yourself down" he replied

I accepted and tried again failing terribly again. Riolu saw my aura charging up and I was not gonna give up. He couldn't do what i was doing because he was still a small Riolu. That pained him. He wanted to help me and he knew he couldn't do that if he didn't evolve. He got to me and tucked on my leg.

"What is it Riolu?" I asked

"Ri Ri lou!" He said pointing at the waterfall.

"You wanna try aswell?" I asked. To which he nodded enthusiastically. Even though my pokemon had completed their training for the day, Riolu still wanted to help me.

We both jumped off the edge to the waterfall and even though I finally landed Riolu didn't , he was being carried away by the current of the water and there's no way I can let him fall off the mountain which he would if he continued going with the stream. I jumped back in the water and swam towards him all In the chilled water from the mount silver. I grabbed him and tried to find a way out the stream. I knew sensei wasn't gonna help as he always told me to find a solution on my own , Pikachu although saw this and used a strong thunderbolt on a tree nearby. The tree broke down and blocked the Stream of water. I lunged one of my hand at the tree and held it tightly. It was like my body was being stretched in two parts. I groaned in pain.

"Riolu quick try and go over my hand"
"Ri"
"What do u mean you can't? Go else you might fall off"
"Ri Ri Ri Ri" he shook his head furiously before he glowed blue.
I lost him from my Arms but he held onto the log as he just evolved right in front of me.

He opened his eyes and landed at the land nearby offering his hand to me. I took it and he helped me get up towards the land.

"Are you okay Master?" I heard a voice. I looked at the source and it was Lucario.
"You can talk?"
"Yes , Master" he said bowing down.

"Hey you don't have to do that"

I just wonder what would I be doing if it wasn't for my pokemon and the friends who supported me all the way.

"Ash , get back here and let's start with the training" said sensei.

"Coming" I said as I ran towards him. Lucario did a front flip and landed to my right while Pikachu hopped onto my shoulder , ever since Riolu has evolved it does feel kinda free as my shoulder is empty again but also kinda sad at same time.

"So from today, you'll be training on Aura power and bond between your pokemon" he said. We just listened carefully.

"So Let's start with your pokemon attacking you, next you're all gonna meditate on focusing on same thing to increase your bond" he said. We nodded and did as instructed again.

After 20 wounds and hours of meditation , the training came to an end. And as usual our exhausted bodies found their way back in the hut and rested to sleep

I looked at the stars and it was the same constellation. The one which I admired back in Kalos. It was a symbol of our journey together. I hope one day I can watch this with her under the very stars that, I can lay my eyes on right now
