The Promise We Did

Chapter 15

A few months after Serena has came back in Kalos.

The sun shined over the horizon yet again waking up the slumbering Pokemon. Ash and his Pokemon on the other hand are already awake training.

Last few days have been quite intense of a training session. I don't know but sensei has been training me really hard last couple of days.

"Ash" I heard sensei's voice and turned towards it.

"Yes Sensei?" I asked.

"This will be your final task , but probably the most important one" he said.

My final task? I'm ready for whatever he throws at me. Lucario Pikachu Charizard And Greninja, we all have trained hard and I can't let them down.

"I'm ready for it" I replied.

"What is your dream?" He asked nonchalantly.

"To be a pokemon master" I replied without taking any second to think.

"And what exactly is a Pokemon master?" He added.

Now that put me into thoughts, i always wanted to become a Pokemon master but never really knew what is a Pokemon master?

After thinking for a while , I still couldn't find a answer.

"I don't know..." I replied defeated.

"Do u love your Pokemon?" He asked

"Of course"

"Are you ready to sacrifice your life for them?"

"Anyday"

"Do u love it ,when your Pokemon become strong?"

"Yeah!"

"Then you're already a Pokemon master"

"Yea- wait what?" I asked.

"Yes, you're already a Pokémon master. I can tell that your Pokemon are ready to do anything for you aswell" he said looking at my Pokemon. I turned around to look at them.

Lucario knelt down on knee while Pikachu made a fist and raised it in air. Charizard smiled and fired an flamethrower in air while Greninja had his hands wrapped around him but he looked at me and nodded with eyes full of determination. I was just overwhelmed.

"Now Ash... That you have already achieved your dream. You need to finish this quest of yours" he said. My head turned towards him.

I recalled the images that I saw from the orb and there's no way I'm gonna let that happen.

"You can count on me" I said.

"Now , you may leave. But I want you to remember something" he added

"What is it?" I asked.

"Your mind may forget , but your heart will remember..." He said.

"What does that mean?" I asked.

"You'll know eventually" he said.

"Oh ok... actually I need to ask you something aswell Sensei"

"Go ahead" he said

I had a question to ask since the day one, but never got to ask it. It was finally my chance.

"Who are you?"

Sensei took off his hat.... And I finally was able to see his face. I didn't recognize him but it felt like I knew him... Why did I felt that I knew him?

"Ash...." He said reaching for his pocket and taking out a picture. He looked at the picture and then looked at me. Few tears rolled down his eyes but then he ran towards me and enwrapped me in a hug. Same hug that I always receive from my mom.

"Give this to your mother.....protect her , for me" He said handing me the photo

"Sensei you're disappearing"

"I know... You have a quest to fullfil"

"But I never got to know who you are"

"I'll be always there with you..... Farewell Ash" He said before he finally disappeared.

I stood there , taking in what just happened. I looked at the photo and just then tears escaped my eyes. It was a photo of me Mom and a young guy who looked like Sensei......
The photo confirmed it. I looked behind the photo. Something was written there.

I love you Delia and Ash.

Dad...... It was the first and the last time I saw him? I didn't even get a proper goodbye to say to him. I burst into tears sitting on ground holding onto my head. Lucario and Pikachu rushed towards me consoling me while Greninja had a hand on my back. Charizard shot a flamethrower in air seeing me down just got mimic'd by my pokemon.... They all were upset.

"You have a quest to fullfil"

I heard the line in my brain. My tears were replaced my determination. Sadness turned into motivation. I can't let the world get destroyed.

I wiped off my tears and now packed up my stuff from the hut. I commanded Charizard to burn it to crisp, we don't want this hut fall in into wrong hands. And so he did.

The past two years flashed back in my head as the flames slowly burned the hut.

"Are you alright Master?"
"You can talk?"

"Greninja! It's nice to see ya again!"

"Today you'll be learning aura vision"

"You have to try hard Ash...."

"You have a quest to fullfil"

"Let's learn Aura Blast"

"Great job Ash. And you guys"

"Farewell.... Ash"

"I can't let him down" I said and promised to myself and was ready to take off. My eyes gazed upon the stone engraving nearby.

When the very ones that are meant to protect humanity turns against them, the world shall turn to the Aura weilder with the force of nature by his side to protect them until the Alpha presents himself.

"Now I understand it... But do i have the force of nature with me?" That's a question I'll need to search the answer by myself.

"Let's head back to pallet town Charizard" I said returning Greninja in his pokeball and hopping on Charizard.

"Master, you can return me in the pokeball aswell, I don't wanna cause any trouble to you" he said.

"You don't like being in there and so I won't keep you in there" I said offering him an hand to hop onto Charizard. He took the hand and sat behind me. Pikachu hopped on my shoulder and then Charizard took off.

It has became even powerful and faster since last time I rode it. It took us only one hour to reach Pallet Town now. Compared the 3 hours which it took us to reach here 2 years ago. It's was surely very fast.

We landed in front of my house. I praised Charizard and returned him back in his pokeball.

"I'm home" I said opening the door
