Bonus Chapter ~ Chapter 60

"So it's finally the day huh?" I asked with a smile as we two walked towards the empty stadium.

"Yeah..." Serena replied in a low tone.

"You okay Rena?" I said tightening the grip of our hands.

"Ye-Yeah!" She smiled weakly.

"You think you can fool me with that fake smile?" I asked.

"Hehe, busted," she said still smiling but a tear fell off her ever so cute face.

I just used my free hand to wipe that tear off placing a quick peck on her forehead as I brought her in a hug. 

"We'll be going on a new adventure Rena, I know very well how hard is it to surrender your status to someone else but...that's how life works. If you want something, it takes something from you. We've both been through this multiple times, back when I had to pass on my champion title to Lauren, it was pretty hard for us too. Just think of it this way, when that crown comes off your head, we'll finally be stepping on a path for a new adventure which awaits us" I softly spoke in her ears. 

"Ashy...I" Serena tried to articulate.

"You don't need that crown to be a queen you know, you're already a queen" I chuckled.

"Queen without a crown? what Queen am I?" Serena softly chuckled.

"You're my Queen..."

[Time Skip]

"There you have it, Our new Kalos queen after 5 years!! Saki!!" The commentator screamed as the stadium lights focused on Saki who was covering her mouth trying to hold in her excitement. 

The stadium on the other hand was cheering hard for Saki. A New Generation of People that surpasses us...Haha, we're getting old.

"I request former Kalos Queen Serena to crown her and recognize her as the new Kalos queen" he announced further.

"That girl's performance was so good, she totally deserved it" Dawn spoke.

"I know right? the way she used Clefable's charm and meteor smash to add aesthetics to her performance was jaw-dropping!" May analyzed.

Serena, dressed in a cyan-blue gown with her signature ribbon she's been using for all these years still tied on her hand which was holding a new Tiara just walked towards the newly selected queen.

Saki was overwhelmed, just like Serena...except her tears are of joy while Serena's were...not so heartwarming back when she was appointed as the queen. Rena effortlessly placed the tiara on the new queen's head along with bowing down according to the tradition. 

"Do I really deserve this?" Saki asked.

"Why'd you question yourself? you surely deserve it" Serena replied.

"I've failed a lot of times before, what if I fail in performance when I'm a Kalos Queen. Wouldn't that tear the image of the queen?" She asked.

"Sweetie, you learn with failure. Even if you fail as a Queen, that doesn't matter. What did matter is that you gave it your all. I know a very good phrase that a certain Idiot taught me years ago" Serena smiled.

"And what's that phrase?" Saki asked with Curiosity.

"Never give up until it's over" Serena spoke looking directly at me in the crowd. This obviously turned a few heads at me who just wanted to see who this "Idiot" was.

I felt a smile coming on my face as I looked straight into the oceanic eyes of this performer I'm so in love with. I made a fist filled with determination and nodded as I looked back at her.
