The Promise We Did

Chapter 27

It was really early in the morning , everything was quiet except for the clouds. Rumbling like no tomorrow. It would be upsetting if the clouds covered up the beautiful sight of the meteor , whose tail should've already be visible if it wasn't for the clouds.

We on the other hand had completed our training for the day but decided to hang out near the river for a while, i had some things i wanted to think through. These voices I've been hearing they're increasing day by day , am I actually ready for the quest? Will I be able to help?

"You will , Master" I heard Lucario's voice as i turned my head around and saw Lucario kneeling and Greninja had his hand crossed but he nodded looking at me. Pikachu just gave me a cheer in approval aswell.

"I guess I... sorry , WE will do it!" I said lifting our spirits up as they cheered along.

Now , that aside i thought a bit about how to confess to Serena. Should i just ask her? or make it more "dramatic", man shit's confusing. I guess , i'll have to see there on the spot.

I returned Greninja back in his pokeball and just headed back to the camp. As i got near the camp i smelled the breakfast already being prepared.

"That smells delicious" i said breathing in the scent of the tasty food that's being cooked.

 "Thanks Ash, it's all thanks to my frying pan!" Brock said with a thumbs up lifting the pan up.

I just sweat dropped at the sight and headed in my tent to change my clothes. After changing up i went outside sitting on the log near the campfire which was now just ashes. 

"Hey Ash do u mind waking everyone up?" asked Brock.

"Sure!" i sat up and started heading into everyone's tents individually. Starting with the tent next to me of Gary.

Opened up the zip and saw him sleeping soundly with his usual smirk on his face.

"Yo Gare bare wake up" i said loudly trying to wake him up.

I saw his body twitch a bit , he woke up rubbing his face off. 

"Since when did you start waking up early?" he asked yawning.

"You'd know , if you would've woke up early. Anyway wake up, the break fast is ready" i said going to the next tent.

After 6 more embarrassing good mornings, like where Clemont cried on his "wake up clemontator 2.0" not working or Bonnie snuggling her pillow thinking of a cake? it was quite something. Now the only tent remained was that of Serena.

I unzipped the tent and spoke again, "Serena" 

No response

"Serena!" 

No response

"SERENA!" 

No response

I gave up and went inside so i could shake her gently up.

"Serena wake up" i said shaking her up gently.

I guess she was in deep sleep as she turned around and just wrapped her arms around her pillow, man she does look cute.........ASH NO TIME FOR ALL THIS! 

After few more tries , she didn't give in. Probably cause i wasn't as harsh as i went with everyone else. Literally electrocuting  May up with the help of Pikachu.

I got an idea but i felt my face heat up just thinking about it, but i had to get her up anyway so why not?

I leaned in close to her ear and then whispered.
