The Promise We Did

Chapter 32

I woke up to a delicious aroma inside the room i was sleeping in. Looked over to my right and it was Brock Clemont and Gary sleeping and then to my left where Pikachu was curled up while Lucario was probably outside. It smelt really nice and as the time passed , my curiosity grew larger and larger. Finally i gave in and got up, heading straight towards the bathroom to get fresh. 

After getting fresh'n up i beamed downwards from where i was smelling the aroma from. I nonchalantly opened the door and saw Serena and Mrs. Grace in their apron cooking something. And the scent finally hit me , it was Serena's Pokepuffs!

"Good morning Mrs. Grace, Serena" i said with a toothy grin walking into the room.

"Oh Hey , Morning Ash" Serena said smiling.

"Morning" Mrs. Yvonne added.

"I just smelt something really familiar that woke me up. Now I realize it's pokepuffs!" I said still standing near the door.

"Yeah, we are almost finished cooking it up, do u mind waking everyone else up?" Serena said with a bright smile. The same one i cant never ever refuse.

"Sure" i replied and with that i beamed upstairs, waking everyone up.

"They are delicious Serena!" I said rapidly chewing the pokepuff. 

"Ash, you shouldn't speak while you eat!!!!" she exclaimed out of concern.

"Don't wor- *COUGHS* *COUGHS* *COUGHS*" And with that i started choking up again. Serena got up from her seat and walked towards me patting me on my back with quite some force and expected it worked for me. 

"Th--Thank you" i said catching my breath.

"You should be more careful!" she said a slight anger in her tone.

"heheh I'm sorry" I replied with a wide grin.

Other just chuckled at the sight , after receiving some taunts on my bad habits from the group and finishing up the delicious breakfast we headed out explore the town.

"Hoopa is scared" Hoopa said hovering over Meray.

Meray comforted it by taking Hoopa in her arms, stroking Hoopa's head. Baraz on the other hand, had a visible discomfort plastered all over his face.

"What do you mean hoopa?" Baraz asked.

"Hoopa sees a big building...Hoopa sees flames" Hoopa started but cuddled more into Meray as it started speaking out. "Hoopa sees Ash khan......Serena Clemont and Bonnie and more people Hoopa doesn't recognize"

Baraz and Meray both looked at each other with their eyes widened up from listening to what Hoopa said. "Can it be?" Meray asked looking right at Baraz with hint of nervousness in her eyes.

"If it is...Ash and others are part of it. We need to find the scroll and reach them as soon as we can" Baraz said. Meray nodded and got up from her seat along with Baraz and began searching for the scroll.

Baraz went to the basement and turned on the lights and proceeded to search the area. After wiping dust off a few boxes and eventually coughing up from the dirt expelled his eyes finally saw what he was looking for. He took out the box and started heading up again closing the door of the basement behind him.

"I couldn't find it-" He hear Meray's voice before she stopped looking at the box in her brother's hand. "You found it" she said calmly.

"Yeah...although i regret we have to open it up but....it's important" He replied. Hoopa on the other hand was just confused but also curious looking at the box.
