This fic reached 100k reads? lol.
If I be honest, I never thought it'll reach 100k. I thought it's gonna stop at 60-70k.Anyways, thank you all for reading and the sweet sweet comments and votes that pile up notifications of my phone everyday lol. It does sometimes uplift my mood or even better makes my day!
The only reason I wrote this fic (or any other fics that I am writing/ have written for that matter) is to divert my mind from some unhealthy thoughts. And god damn, programming and writing fics does help.
Anyways, enjoy the chapter. I hope I'm not rusty in writing the pokemon stuff haha.

These stars......they're still just as beautiful as they were 10 years ago. This very constellation and chilly weather reminds me of some of my life's hardest yet fulfilling moments. Even though it's been ages, it feels as if the events happened yesterday.
I stopped by the same pastry shop that's been supplying me with one of the best strawberry pastries I could ever get in Kanto. Well, let's say that a certain someone really enjoys this.
"Have a great night Sir!" said the lady behind the corner bowing down along with a cute Clefable on the counter waving at me with a warm smile.
"Thanks, Stacey. You too!" I said heading out of the shop.
Honestly, the world changes at such a rapid speed that it's almost impossible to keep up. My own town which I once adored for beautiful greenery and not so developed infrastructure is now like Kalos. Not that I oppose it though, the builder and planner an old friend of mine whose inventions now don't blow up......at least 80% of the time did a fabulous job of preserving the Kanto greenery while making it more modern.
Thinking all of this, I made my way back home. Honestly, I should've driven to Gary's lab man....well after professor Oak, Gary did take the charge and he's been working hard ever since.
The dimly illuminated lights along the path, coos and chirps of nearby wild pokemon lurking around on the trees or just training with their trainers are still the same as it was in my childhood.
I didn't realize that I've already reached home just thinking about all of this, I just opened the gate and headed in. Looked towards my right and saw the garage door raised up revealing the vehicles inside...Arceus, Lucario still loves poking around with that button.
I just smiled and headed for the main door as I grabbed the handle.
"I'm home" I said as I gently opened the door with a smile.
A few moments later, my eyes saw a sight that I just can't get tired of looking at from past these years.
"Welcome back, Ashy" said my adorable wife coming towards the front door wearing an apron.
