The Promise We Did

Chapter 21

-Thirdperson pov

The chirping from the bird pokemon on the trees surrounding the camp with the bright light projected by the sun woke up the sleeping group. They all changed their clothing and took bath turn by turn in the river flowing nearby, before heading off today Brock and Clemont started preparing breakfast for the group while others helped setting up fire and getting ingredients.

Serena woke up remembering the events of last night still feeling ecstatic off the small moment. After she got freshen up , she found something was missing. Then it hit her, Ash and his pokemon were missing. His tent was already folded up in a bag nearby but there was no trace of him.

"Has anyone seen Ash?" Serena asked the group with a slight concern in her voice.

"Nah i haven't seen him since last night" said Gary looking around.

"Same" Added Dawn.

"Your sure care a lot about Ash, don't you?" teased May.

"Huh....he's just a .....friend.....i don't wanna...loose" Serena managed to say hiding her face.

"SUREEEEEEEEEE just a friend" added Misty.

The group shared a quick laugh hoping he'll return before the breakfast. After a while the breakfast was ready to eat and there was still no trace of Ash around.

"He's still not here" said Clemont looking around the woods.

"I think i'll go search for him" Said Serena getting up.

"Yeah Serena! go get him!" said Bonnie. The girls giggled like crazy except of Serena who knew exactly what the sentence meant. "Bonnie!!!" she exclaimed. While the boys stared at girls with utmost confusion.

"Breakfast sure smells great" came a stern voice from the back of the group. The group's attention shifted to the voice and they saw Ash walking towards the group with Pikachu on his shoulder. It looked like he's in a t shirt instead of his hoodie. His arms just look well built with muscles except for one thing. They have blood coming out of them, now that the group noticed that. They noticed the bruises on his leg and face aswell.

"Oh ARCEUS ASH! Are you alright?!" Screamed Serena in concern running towards him.

-Ash's pov

I saw Serena running towards me after asking me if i'm alright. Whats wrong, there's literally nothing wrong with me.

"Are you Alright?" she asked looking at me.

"What's wrong?" i asked.

"Your arm , these bruises" she said holding my arm.

"Oh these? don't worry about it. Its normal for me" I said scratching my cheek.

"What do u mean normal?" she asked.

"Uhm, i train alongside my Pokemon so they attack on me aswell" i replied nonchalantly.

"That idea is brilliantly retarded!" said Brock.

"Yeah, i mean it will hurt but on the bright side, You'll know where the pokemon's attack stand" added Clemont.

"Yeah exactly" I said.

"ASH you need to apply a bandage" said Serena.

"Thank you for your concern Serena, i'll be back in a second" I said as i beamed off towards my bag took out clothes and went towards the river to take a bath. Lucario and Pikachu joined me aswell. Just bathing seemed to wash off the blood , it wasn't much anyway.

-Back in the group

"He sure is more than a friend to you" teased May.

"MAY!!!" Serena exclaimed.
