The Promise We Did

Chapter 45

[Ash's POV]

Your half of power is gone.
I hope you're still worthy enough to accomplish the task.

Someone spoke in my mind again as I was enwrapped in darkness. The sound yet being so familiar but my brain refusing to acknowledge it is bugging me now. Well it's true that i lost half of my powers but that doesn't matter. I have Serena back, only thing i ever wanted back.

Finally gaining my consciousness as i began to wake up. I opened my eyes as i felt some weight on my left arm. Looked over it and saw Serena resting her head on it. Looking her face sleeping peacefully was enough to set me to peace. Last day hasn't been the best for either of us but I'm gonna try my best so that doesn't happen again. Ever.

I just used my left arm to caress her hair and as soon as i did , she stirred up. She wasn't sleeping soundly it seems. She woke up and first thing she did was look right at me with concern in her eyes.

"Oh thank god you're ok!" she said hugging the life out of me which i took no time to return.

"You're here , ofcourse i'll be fine" I whispered in her ears.

"Ash..." she said tears forming in her eyes as she parted from the hug.

"Serena....I'm genuinely sorry about before , about Lilli-" I was saying before she cut me off placing her soft lips onto mine.

"It's all fine. I'm sorry for overreacting aswell. Cause of me you had to loose half of your powers...I don't think i would ever be able to make up for it" she said genuinely upset about the situation.

"As i told ya before , I would rather see the blue in your eyes than in my aura. You don't need to apologize. You're far more important to me than my own self. Your sole existence is more than a reason for me to fight everyday" Ash replied hugging her back and whispering it in her ears.

"Ash...I love you like sooooooo much. I don't know what i'd do if you aren't around. Back then Giovanni said some lewd things to me , i wanted to retaliate but i just couldn't. My body didn't allowed me to. Thanks for saving me....again" she let it all out.

[Thirdperson]

"He's not gonna come anywhere close to you" Ash replied still holding onto her tightly.

Serena broke the hug and stood next to his bed, "Lets head out for lunch, you already skipped breakfast" said a smiling Serena.

"Sure" he said getting up from the bed , "I'll get fresh first" Ash said as he began collecting clothes and started heading into the bathroom.

"Want me to join you?" Serena teased Ash making him blush a bit.

"You sure are in a good mood today" Ash replied before heading into the bathroom and closing the door. 

"I'll be waiting for you in the lobby!" Serena said heading out of the room.

After getting freshen up , Ash headed out in the lobby only to be greeted by others. Sophocles and Clemont on the video games while Gary and Dawn had already left the tower for a date. Kiawe Baraz and Brock were busy in their battles as Misty May and Other girls were watching them battle and having fun. Meray was feeding Hoopa while watching her brother battle.

"Master , are you ok?" Lucario asked as he sensed Ash's aura a lot less than he usually used to sense.

"Yeah, i'm fine. Also we're heading out. Where's pikachu?" Ash asked the aura pokemon.

"Pikachu is with May. Do u want me to accompany you Master?" Lucario asked.

"Nah, we'll be fine. You can have a day off today, do what you want just don't get into troubles" Ash said smiling.
