Natalia's POV
I call Sofia the second that I get into the house.
"I'll be back! I need to make a phone call." I call to Jose who is sprawled out on the couch the second that he gets home.
"Okay." He nods.
I go to Sofia's contact and press her name, waiting to hear it begin to ring.
"Hello?" She answers with a smile in her voice.
"Hey!" I exclaim, finally feeling normal again when I hear her voice.
"Can you FaceTime?" She asks.
"Yes." I reply. Seconds later, I hear the new ringing and answer her FaceTime call.
"Yay!" She cheers with a bright smile.
"Hey, Sofia." I laugh.
"What the hell have you been doing? I miss you." She pouts.
"I've just been working, unfortunately." I sigh.
"Where are you working?" She asks.
"I'm serving over at my parent's restaurant."
She gives me a look of dissatisfaction and waits for further explanation.
"What?" I ask with a laugh.
"There's no way my asshole of a brother is just letting you serve. You're kidding, right?" She asks.
"He said that he would pay for me to do whatever I need to do. I'm not taking his money, though. I want to work for myself." I tell her.
"Ugh. I hate feminism." She teases.
"I do too." I tease in reply.
"So, big news." She says.
"What?" I ask, undressing out of my work clothes.
"I'm getting married!" She exclaims.
"I know this, remember?" I laugh in response.
"No, but like...I'm getting married. Like, in two months."
"Wait, what?" I ask, now full attention to this conversation. "What about the big wedding you always talked about wanting?"
"Yeah, well...things changed. We just kind of realized that we would rather have a small get together with our friends and family. Like...a small thing. Grayson said that he would let us use the house for the gathering and everything. You'll come, right?"
"Of course I'll come." I smile.
"Good! Mom and Dad really want to see you again. They don't exactly know about the baby yet, either. So...that will be a surprise, for sure."
Sometimes, I forget about the fact that this is going to be something that needs to be discussed. He may not want to be apart of his child's life, but that doesn't mean his family and friend's are excluded. I'm sure he would want for them to be involved.
"I'm sure they'll find out then." I sigh.
"Yeah." She mutters. "I'm not telling them, after all. I don't think Grayson is either. He's kind of just...hiding out right now."
"Yeah." I sigh. "When I was moving out, he definitely had a little break down."
"I know." She replies. "I could hear it."
"I forget that you guys can practically hear everything."
"Apartment living." She laughs. "So have you guys spoken to each other?"
