Earth 8018: The Story of Tyler and Kristyn

Part 12: And So It Begins! (1 of 2)

By the Morning Tyler is finally fully healed and believes he is ready to take on the Queen. I however felt we should report back to our city, gather reinforcements, and then assault the Queen. Tyler of course, disagrees.

"No. We can't do that!" He said, "We've already lost 3 squadrons!"

"I know that Tyler... they were my squadrons..." I said holding back tears. "You don't need to remind me."

"I... I'm sorry." He said. "I didn't mean to..."

But I cut him off, "It's fine." I turn away to wipe the tears from my eyes. "But we still need back up!"

"No! We don't." He says. "This isn't your call to make Kristyn. We're already here. And I'm doing this. I have to do this. And I'd like to do it with your support. But I'm doing this with or without it."

So I said, "Ok... fine... but before you do this I have questions I need to ask you."

"Ask me anything." He said.

"What happened to you all those years ago when you were a kid? You were so sick and fragile... but came back the strongest person I've ever known. What did that so called Doctor do to you?"

He took a deep breath, looked me in my eyes, and said... "I'll tell you after we take down the Queen!" With a big smile on his face.

I shouted, "You jerk!" And punched him in the side of his head.

"Ouch ouch ouch! Yikes calm down will ya? I promise to tell you after this is all over. Okay?" He said with a smile. I was never able to stay mad at him when he smiled at me. No matter what stupid thing he had done. He made me feel safe when he smiled at me the way he always did. I always felt like everything would be ok. And whenever he said it would be ok, it always was. That's part of why I loved him the way I did. But now wasn't the time for us to talk about "Us". Now was the time to come up with a plan to take down the Queen... or so we thought...
