Part 62: A Battle Of Wills (3 of 3)

While sitting in his cell Tyler asked me,

"What are we supposed to do? How can we convince these people that I wasn't the one who did all this?"

To that I replied,
"Honestly I don't know... I hate that this is happening."

Tyler then said,
"I don't wanna sit here for something I didn't do..."

Drahsoh then said to him,
"Then don't!"

Immediately Tyler was back in the mental palace with Drahsoh!

"What's going on!?" Tyler asked.

Drahsoh answered:
"You took away my ability to interact with the motor functions of this body. I don't know how but you did... You've won... I am defeated. I can no longer protect you.

To which Tyler said:
"You tried to kill me and everyone I love! Is that what you call protection!?

Drahsoh remained silent for a moment. He then said:
"... I'm sorry... You're right... I've not done right by you... I've not done right by anyone."

Tyler:
"What do you mean? What are you talking about?"

Drahsoh:
"There are so many things I've done in my life... so many regrets. So much death. I believe it's time I left the mortal world. But before I go... I want you to understand everything! And I won't waste words on you as I know you won't listen. No. Instead I'll do this! I'm going to transfer all of my memories... all of my lives... all of my regrets and failures... to you!"

Tyler:
"What the hell are you talking about!? What are you doing!?"

Drahsoh:
"You want me dead!? Fine! I'll die! But so will you! Not literally of course. But the you that you are will no longer be! Because I'm going to combine our consciousnesses into one! But I'm leaving complete control to you. Do what you will with the misery and pain of my life as it now becomes yours! And the worst part? You won't even remember this conversation once it's done! Nobody wins! AAAHAHAHAHAHA!... Farewell my sweet child..."

Tyler continues to me:
"in fact I won't. If they don't believe me that's on them. I'm not going to suffer for people who never even cared about me in the first place. I didn't live in that lonely area because I liked it... I lived there because that's the only place that I was allowed to buy becauseI was suspected of being a Super. I have no friends here, only you. My family doesn't talk to me. The only time the people care about me is when I save them from something. I've been fighting for these people for years... not once have any of them ever fought for me. I'm done. I'm leaving this cell now."

I then said,
"Are you sure you want to do things this way?"

But before I could finish my thought, he bent the bars and walked out of his cell.

"Tyler wait!" I said.

He then said,
"Kristyn come with me... I can't stay here. I won't stay here."

He then held out his hand to me, and I took it and I followed him. We Charged to State 2 and ran out of the City. He didn't look back not once. We just ran, and ran, and ran. Eventually we get to Sand City to see my family. We tell them everything that had happened. They weren't pleased to know I was a super now. And they resented Tyler for turning me into one, especially without my permission. After that we had an argument, one in which my family was not very understanding of what I had to say. Especially after telling them about Drahsoh. They didn't trust Tyler anymore. But nothing and no one was about to sway me from trusting my best friend, the only person who has been willing to die for me more than once, other than my fallen brothers in arns. The person who loves me more than anyone. So that night we left. We had both left behind all that we had. I didn't want to leave my family, but I wasn't about to let Tyler be alone. Not after all we've been through. Later that night Tyler stopped me to ask,

"You're not feeling like you have to come with me right? If you decided not to come with me I'd understand. And I'd come back to see you..."

Before he could finish I cut him off saying,

"Are you serious? After all we've been through you really think I'd leave you on your own? I love you Tyler. Where you go, I go. Where you are, I am. Where you stay, I stay. Got it?"

He smiled and gave me a kiss. "Yes I've got it... thank you Kristyn. I love you too."

So we started towards new territories that we'd not been to. Off to new adventures, together. But things were about to get a lot weirder. Drahsoh had fused their collective memories and consciousnesses. and the effects wouldn't be made apparent immediately. But we were in for an even wilder ride than before.
