Part 45: Old Frenemies (2 of 2)

"What do you mean?" Tyler asked.

"I mean exactly what I said! I'm gonna tell you a little secret. The day we fought? When I was arrested, I didn't surrender because I was too tired to fight. I surrendered because I didn't want round two with that crazy smiling thing! Whatever I fought that day was not you. Nothing had ever made me fear for my life until that day."

I then said, "She's right... at the moment I stopped you from killing her... You were smiling... I thought maybe I was just imaging it... I didn't pay it much mind then. But now that I stop to think about it... you were definitely smiling."

This scared the both of us. What she said made sense. It also goes along with the fact that Tyler can't remember anything that happens while he's enraged. And the nightmare he had... he was trying to stop himself from killing Corgan. It's almost like he's a different person when enraged. But why was The Dream Master in his dream as well? What's really happening when he's enraged? What happened the first time he was enraged? How many more times has it happened? So many questions are coming from this.

After saying our goodbyes and insulting eachother a bit, we head back home.

"All that stuff she said... it really makes me wonder... what if I am literally a different person when I'm enraged?" Tyler asked.

In reply I said, "That's a bit of a stretch isn't it? How could you be more than one person?"

In reply he said, "Ask yourself... is there any part of what she said that didn't make sense in some way?"

So I said, "Considering all the crazy things that have happened... it doesn't seem too far fetched."

After talking about it a bit more we both wanted to change the subject. After spending the rest if the day snuggled on the couch watching ancient world TV shows and movies, Tyler walked me home. As he does every time we spend the day together. Tyler kissed me Goodnight, And I was soon sleeping. Upon falling asleep that night I had a nightmare. Tyler had one too.
