Earth 8018: The Story of Tyler and Kristyn

Part 22: Family ties

After lots of planning we finally called it a day and Tyler walked me back home. Our City is big, but it's too crowded for any kind of vehicle. Our people normally use vehicle's to leave or enter the City, rarely to drive within it. Which is why we walked Everywhere. After getting me home we try to sneak a goodnight kiss without my annoying siblings seeing it. Fortunately only my mom saw it this time. She didn't give me as much trouble as they did in that way, even though she didn't like Tyler very much. But she never said anything. She just kept it to herself. I wouldn't find out until later.

My sisters were Janice, Kacy and Lucy. Janice was the oldest. After her was me. Than Kacy and Lucy the twins. they were the youngest. So Kacy and Lucy said in unison,

"Heeey you came home sober today! Congratulations!"

In reply I said, "I risked my life saving God knows how many people! I think I deserve one drunk day!"

"Yeah right!" They said. "You probably just went and got married and was on your honeymoon!"

"If that's the case how do you explain this!?" I said while raising my shirt up slightly to show of my scars. "Or how do you explain all the cuts on my face!?"

"Ok ok we get it..." they said, "Sorry we taunted you... we heard you lost a lot of friends over there."

"Unfortunately I did." I said in reply, "But I'm happy and thankful to have made it home to the best little sisters of all time!" Not to mention feeling guilty. The only reason I was alive was because of Tyler. If he hadn't saved me I wouldn't be here. I hugged them both tightly, my mother and Janice saw this and joined the hug.

"Janice you're ok too I guess." I daid jokingly. And we all laughed a bit. After that we talked about what happened while I was away. There were tears, but because Tyler was involved in this story, I was able to smile as well. I explained how he'd saved my life several times. I did my best not to mention the scary bits where he raged out. We laughed together and cried together. After than I went to my room and fell asleep. We had lots to do the next day.
