Part 7: The Reunion (4 of 4)

After about an hour I wake him up.

"Wake up stupid... I'm sorry I hit you... and bent your arm... and knocked you out..."

Tyler then said to me: "Honestly I expected you to do all of that... ever since you found out about my healing ability you haven't been afraid to go off on me."

We both laughed at him saying that.

Next I said: "Ya know...when I first saw the necklace blink... I was so angry... because deep down I knew that you were here... doing something stupid... and I thought I'd never get to see you again... I wondered if you were dead, or if I was gonna die. And I thought I'd never get to tell you..."

"Tell me what?" He asked.

"How sorry I am for breaking our promise... and how much I really lo... care about you..."

He then cut me off saying: "We're best friends ya know... you can say you love me. It's not weird or anything... right?"

"It's... it's not that kind of... ok look! I have loved you... since the day we met. You have been my bestfriend and the only true friend I've had for a long time... but I've been... in love with you... for the past 6 years..."

Shocked, Tyler says: "What!? Why didn't you say anything!?"

"Because I didn't want things to change with us! And you were leaving so much... I didn't want my feelings to stop you from going out to do whatever was so important to you."

Tyler looked me in my eyes and said: "Kristyn... I've been in love with you too. I've been in love with you for the past 2 years. But I never said anything because you were dating colonel Kepler."

So I said: "I settled for Kepler after waiting 4 years for you to pick up on the hints! After a while I thought you were just ignoring me... you really didn't know I liked you!?"

He then said: "No! I had no idea! If I had known I would have said something!"

"Wow... ya know for someone who knows me so well you really should have gotten that... and because I know you so well... I can tell you're actually telling the truth... you're actually that stupid!" I said as I laughed.

He then said as he laughed: "Ya don't have to be so rude! Sure its funny but there's no need for name calling."

After that we stared in each others eyes for a moment.

"You know what this means right?"

He said: "As soon as this is over I'm taking you to dinner?"

I then said with a big smile on my face: "You read my mind Djad Ahbi." Which is Kayzon for 'Good Friend', a term we had been using since we were young.

"What about Kepler?" He asked.

"You let me worry about that."

Was it wrong to just dump my boyfriend out of the blue and get a new one? Maybe. But I'd been in love with Tyler for 6 years. I was prepared to ponder the morality of my actions later.

But as we talked, we were being watched. And Tyler and I had just noticed.
