Earth 8018: The Story of Tyler and Kristyn

Part 6: The Reunion (3 of 4)

After a few hours, we both wake up. However there's an awkward silence between us. Neither of us wants to be the first to shout "You broke your promise!"

Eventually I say: "Thank you for saving me."
He then says: "You're welcome." But before he can even finish, I start the conversation we both knew was coming.

Me: "I thought you told me you were done doing whatever it was you were doing that got you so hurt all those years ago! You lied to me!"

Him: "Me!? I lied to you!? You broke the very first promise we ever made to one another! Don't talk to me about lying!"

Me again: "Are you freaking kidding me!? I only broke that promise because you broke yours first! You're out fighting! For all I know fighting wars! And ya know what!? The fact that you're here tells me that's exactly what you've been doing! Why? Because this is a war zone! So you broke both of the promises you made to me!"

Him again: "I'm not fighting wars! I came here to fight one person! And only one!"

Me: "If you say the stupid thing I think you're about to say, the only person you'll be fighting is me..."

"Is that a threat!? Even if it is, I'm a super what could you..."

as he was talking a punched him in the face and put him in an arm lock.

I then said: "If I'm not mistaken you haven't healed fully and that means I could do a whole lot to you right now!"

"Ok ok!" He shouts in pain "I came here to fight the queen..."

before he finishes talking I bend his arm a bit.

"Ouch! Wait! Let me finish!"

"Go on!"

He then starts again: "My plan was to beat her in a dual and then take her throne before the army got here and end the war before it went any further... I was hoping my healing factor would work fast enough but she's stronger than a normal State 2..."

After hearing his plan I let him go.

Frustrated with him I then say: "What a ridiculously stupid plan! You really didn't think this through? She kills supers all the time that challenge her! Did you really think your stupid slow healing factor was gonna be able to keep up with her fists!?"

"Well for the most part it did. Till she knocked me through the floor... well all the floors... and knocked me out... maybe I shouldn't have taunted her so much..."

"You taunted her!? Why would you...!" as I released grunt of extreme frustration, I knocked him out.

At this point you're probably thinking "Wow she's abusive." I suppose back then I thought because I can't do any lasting damage to him that it was okay. Well I know now that it wasn't. And I regret that I treated him that way back then. But enough about that. Moving on.
