Earth 8018: The Story of Tyler and Kristyn

Part 18: Welcome Home

The Queen woke up shortly afterwards. All her royal guard stood over her ready to arrest her. She's too beaten to fight, so she surrenders. They immediately start working on repairs to the Palace and surrounding buildings. We freshen up, rest for the night, and head home the next morning. The Queen is moved to the super prison in Capital City, one of the largest and most advanced cities in the world, where she will await trial for her crimes. Bor's body was never found. We know he's out there somewhere. We told the people we would return in the next few days to set up a new form of government. The whole rule by challenge thing didn't work out so well last time.

As we enter our home, River City, within the state of what was once known as "Utah", the people cheer us on. They'd caught wind of all that had happened. No one knew Tyler was a super until that day, thoughsome had suspectedas much and treatedhim very differently because of it. In fact he's the only Super where we come from. And they aren't exactly openly welcomed here. As a lot of the people in our City are of old world faiths and believe Supers to be "unholy". Today was the first time a Super was spoken of positively in our City. But deep down I knew it wouldn't last.

Finally making our way to our individual homes, Tyler after being paraded and praised, and me after a long and painful debriefing, followed by my resignation from the River City military. That night he came to my house to walk me to the place where we'd have dinner. Once we got there we ate like pigs because we were soooo hungry, it took us 3 days to get back home after all. It wasn't romantic at all... but we didn't care. We were just happy being together. Especially after all that had happened to us. Then there was Trouble... Kepler showed up...
