"So, plans for tomorrow?" Jack asked, plopping next to me on the couch.
"Ugh." I groaned. "Valentine's Day." Playfully, I rolled my eyes.
"What?" He smiled. "You're not single anymore."
"I still don't like it." I shrugged, looking at the TV.
"Well we're doing something."
I sighed. There's nothing to do in Los Angeles on Valentine's. Well, there is, but every restaurant, every place, is always packed with so many people.
"Okay." I nodded. "Need any ideas?" I asked.
He shook his head. "I think I might've already planned something."
I laughed at him. "Then why'd you ask me?!"
He grinned. "I just wanted to see what you'd say."
"Well.. What'd you plan?" I looked at him.
He began to laugh, because he knows I hate when he doesn't tell me things.. I can't stand waiting.
"Um, it's just a surprise." He smiled ear to ear.
"Are we going somewhere?" I smiled.
He continued to grin. "I don't know, are we?" He winked.
I stared at him dumfounded. "Yeah.. Okay.." I looked back at the TV.
Jack J laughed from the kitchen, taking a bite of his sandwich. (That I made.)
"What?!" I looked at the both of them.
Suddenly they couldn't control their laughter.
"Oh I get it. We're pretending we're in 6th grade." I sarcastically said.
"He's laughing because he's dumb." Jack J said.
"Jack's laughing because he thinks he knows my plans and he doesn't." Jack said.
Well whatever the plans were, it's another wonderful surprise from one of the best surprise-planners out there.

Later that night, I was at the house by myself. Jack and Jack went to Nash's. I was invited, but I wanted to be alone for a while. I've been thinking about the box I got from Ava in Utah a couple weeks ago, and so many possibilities run through my head. I decided to call Amanda, Ava's mom.
It rung for a few seconds until she picked up. "Hi Paige, what's going on?"
"Hi! I'm just at the house in LA. Um, are you doing anything right now?"
"No, no. I'm just fixing some things up in the office room."
"So, this might sound crazy, but I went to a fortune teller- er- a psychic, you know?" I began.
"You did? How come?"
"Well, me and Jack ran into one a couple months ago. When we were in Paris, I saw her again. Crazy coincidence. Anyways, I got another reading. She can speak to spirits, and uh, apparently she heard from Ava."
She began to laugh. "Are you sure she's legitimate? Sometimes people lie to get money."
"She knew her Ava's before I even said it."
It was silent.
"She told me that Ava wants you to look under her mattress." I said.
"I- uh, under her mattress? Ava's?"
