"Secret trips never work out, you know." Jack looked at me.

"Yes they do." I replied.

"Okay, so what happens when a fan finds out that we're on a plane to Omaha? Then what?" He continued packing his suitcase.

"Oh my god Jack. Unless you or someone else posts something online about it, nobody will know. Why are you so worried anyways?" I questioned.

"I just want to enjoy a nice trip without being bothered by any people." He shrugged.

"Me too. So just don't say anything." I shoved my Nebraska hoodie into my suitcase and managed to zip it up without having to sit on it.

"Isn't it weird? We used to pack to go to LA and now we're packing to go home." Jack zipped up his suitcase.

I stopped for a moment. Yeah, I guess it is kind of weird. I'm so used to coming home from work in Ralston and getting on my laptop to look at colleges. I'd stress and stress and stress until my parents called me up for dinner. They always make amazing food. Our conversations at the dinner table are now replaced with 3 minute phone calls and face timing. Funny how things work out.

"Yeah, but.. You're happy right?" I looked at him.

"With you, yes." He grinned.

"Ready?" Jack J stood at the door. He agreed to drive my car and drop us off at the airport.

"Yep!" I stood up, and so did Jack.

We arrived at the airport a few minutes later. We grabbed our suitcases and thanked Jack J for giving us a ride. The whole time we walked to our boarding spot, we were on the lookout for anyone that would recognize us. Thankfully, we boarded the plane without being spotted.

A while later, we finally arrived in Omaha. I haven't been here in what feels like forever.

"So where should we go?" I looked at Jack, who was grabbing our suitcases. He handed me mine and began walking.

"Don't you think we should spend some time with our families? Like separate?" He said.

My heart broke a little, but I understand that we're always together and we do need a little break.

"Oh, okay. Yeah.." I shrugged.

After getting seperate taxi's to both of our neighborhoods, I was dropped off at my house, feeling so disconnected.

I walked up to the front door and knocked.

My dad opened the door, looking more surprised than ever. "Paige!" He wrapped me in a hug, which smelt like dirt and woodchips. "What are you doing? Did something happen with you and Jack?" He asked.

I smiled. "No, we just wanted to be home for a few days. Everything is fine."

"Well, welcome home!" He opened the door so I could come in.

"What are you doing? Where's mom?" I looked around, and the house seemed empty.

"She's at a meeting downtown. I've been outside working on a few trees." He went over to the sink to wash his hands. "Just do whatever you want, your room is still set up down there!"

"Okay." I smiled. "I think I want to take a nap." I rubbed my eye.

"Go ahead, I'll be in the backyard." He wiped his hand on the towel that my mom doesn't let anyone touch.

"Alright." I nodded, waking downstairs.

Jack's POV:

"So do you want to do something tonight or what?" My mom asked me.

Just then, I noticed my dad taking a picture of me out of the corner of my eye.

"No! Dad! Don't post that anywhere!" I said.

"Why?" He asked. "The only reason I have people who watch my snapchats are because of you!"

Well, that wasn't true. I feel like my fans like my dad more than me sometimes. "I don't want people to know me and Paige are in Omaha without Jack, I just want to enjoy myself here and feel like I'm really at home." I said.

"Oh." He shrugged. "Alright, that's fine."

"Well, what should we do?" My mom looked at us.

"We don't have to do anything, really. Just pretend like I'm at home and nothing's changed. I just want to be here." I scratched my forehead.

"Okay." My mom said. "Then, me and your dad were going to go to the crossfit valley place.. Do you want to just stay here?"

"Yeah." I nodded. "I'll be fine."

"Okay. We'll be back." My dad stood up from the chair.

"Alright." I stood up and waked to the fridge. It's so refreshing to actually see food. I grabbed some stuff for a sandwich and began making myself one.
Paige's POV:

I sighed and shifted under my large comforter. I felt like I was unusually at home again, looking at all my decorations in my room. My parents really haven't changed anything.

I felt so bored without Jack, it was actually kind of sad. I took out my phone and scrolled through my contacts.

Ahh. Sierra, she'd hangout with me! I pulled up iMessage and texted her.

P: Hey.. Want to hang out?

I patiently waited for her to respond. She's the nicest girl I know, and we were really close before I moved to LA. She was friends with Ava too, and we hung out all the time. We haven't really distanced ourselves too much considering that our last text messages were just 3 weeks ago.

S: OMG!! really? Are u back in Ralston?

I smiled.

P: yes I am!! :)

S: I'm at Mack's. Come over!

P: right now?

S: I just barely got here, so I'll be here for a while. Yes right now!! He said he wants to see you.

Great. Just what I needed. Another Westside douchebag that suddenly has a crush on me now.

P: coming!

S: yay!!!!! :)

Well, let's see where this takes me.

_________

Good news:

I didn't get grounded for too long, so I'll be updating again here real soon. :)

And does anyone else HATE the fact that Wattpad doesn't allow us to use emojis?? :(
