"I'm so confused. I- I need to go to Omaha to get answers. That wasn't enough." I felt woozy.

"I'm so sorry that I even doubted you." Jack shook his head. "I honestly feel like I'm dreaming." He looked like he was going to throw up.

Jack J just sat on the edge of the couch staring off into space. "So, she was having mental problems or?"

I furrowed my eyebrows. "I mean, I guess.. I had no idea at all. She never even mentioned it, neither did her parents. I'm just kind of relieved now. I thought I was seeing a ghost."

"You gonna be okay?" Jack held my hand.

I nodded. "I don't even know what just happened."

"It's safe to say that we should just try to forget about it a little for your birthday Paige." Jack J nodded.

"Yeah, tomorrow's going to be your day." Jack agreed.

I smiled, but not inside. I can't just forget everything.

I finished putting on my mascara and adjusted the strap on my turquoise sun dress. After smiling in the mirror, I walked out of the bathroom and into the kitchen where Jack J and Jack were sitting. Jack smiled and stood up when he saw me.

"Happy birthday cutie." He wrapped me in a hug and kissed me.

"Happy birthday." Jack J smiled and gave me a hug.

"Thanks guys." I smiled.

"You look really good." Jack J said.

"She always does." Jack shrugged.

I giggled. "Well, thank you."

"Let's goooo!!" Jack J jumped up and went to open the front door.

"Where?" I asked.

"To breakfast!" Jack grabbed my hand and pulled me along, chasing after Jack J.

We walked through the neighborhood messing around and chasing each other until we reached the town. We walked along the warm sidewalk until we reached Charlie's, my favorite breakfast place. After we ate there, we went to the park and played on the toys like kids. Luckily nobody was there because we definitely would've been kicked out. After that, we went to Nash's. He seemed completely normal and happy and he was really excited to see me- he even gave me a present. (the globe watch that I've been wanting) It was almost as if he had forgot about Ava, so I just didn't bring her up. Neither did anybody else. It was great.. I felt normal.

We spent the day out in LA having fun. Something I haven't done in a while. When it was about 9pm, me and Jack were on the way back home from the Cheescake Factory. Jack J went home a little early so we could be by ourselves for a little. When the Uber driver dropped us off at the house, Jack held my hand as we walked up the steps. He opened the door, and it was dark.

"You know.. Maybe since it's my birthday, we can-" before I could finish, the lights turned on and people came jumping out from all directions.

"SURPRISE!" They all yelled in sync. It was followed by a large amount of laughter.

I laughed out loud. "Thanks guys!" The house was immediately filled with everyone talking. I looked at Jack, slightly blushing. "Did you do this?"

He nodded. As soon as he noticed that I was looking at Justin, he spoke up. "It took all I had inside of me to invite him." He shook his head.

I laughed. "Thank you."

"Happy Birthday." He kissed me on the cheek. "Now go talk to everybody!"

This is great. I know every single person here. Matt, Nash, Cam, Justin, Barb, Tess, Bryant, Megan, and probably 100 more people too. I guess the only person we were missing was Ava...

"Hey birthday girl! How's it been?" Justin gave me a hug.

"Hey! It's been great! Thanks for coming, I had no idea." I tucked my hair behind my ear.

"Yeah, I could tell by what you were about to say when you guys came into the house." He chuckled.

I covered my face. "..Yeah." I smiled.

"19 looks really good on you. I'm glad you're happy." He grinned.

"Thank you, and yeah I am. It's great." I cheesed.

"Paaaaiiige!" Barb came over and gave me a huge hug. "Happy birthday gorgeous."

"Thank you!" I smiled. "Oh!" I reminded myself. "You left your bag here last time, I'll go get it. Stay here!" I ran down the hallway and into mine and Jack's room. The first thing I noticed was Jack J, fixing a bouquet in the corner of the room. He jumped when he saw me.

"Damn, I didn't want you to see it yet."

My jaw dropped. It was gorgeous. It had flowers all sorts of colors and I could immediately smell it.

"For me?" I walked over to him.

"Yeah, I uh, I just wanted to give you something nice. I saw these on the way here and thought they'd be perfect. I don't know if you'd like them, or, yeah." He shrugged.

"Thank you." I gave him a hug.

Before I could pull away, he was looking right at me. We were so close. Closer than we've ever been.

And just like that, our lips connected.
