After leaving the cabin a couple hours later, we went on the way back to my house. I think you know what we did in those couple hours.

It was agreed that we'd both stay the night at our own houses, then see each other later on since tomorrow was Christmas.

When we pulled into the driveway, my mom was sitting on the porch talking to Ava's mom.

"Isn't that Ava's mom?" Jack asked.

"Yeah.." I unbuckled my seatbelt and quickly checked my reflection in the mirror. My hair was now in an ugly, tangled, and screwed up state because it got trashed in the events of the past hour. My lipstick was halfway gone as well. Cool. My dress wasn't exactly in the shape it was when I left the house either..

"Okay, so I'll see you tomorrow. Preferably the morning..." He grinned at me.

I reached over and gave him a kiss.

"Okay, see ya. Love you." I climbed out.

"Love you too."

I shut the door and began walking to the porch as Jack pulled away.

"Hi!" Amanda greeted me.

"Hey!" I hugged her. "What's going on? It's freezing." I rubbed my arms.

"I just came by to wish you guys a merry Christmas. I'm in a bit of a hurry. Well, say, you look stunning. What'd you and Jack do?"

"He took me to the steakhouse in downtown Omaha, then took me up to his cabin and introduced this to me." I held up my hand, revealing the ring.

"Is that a promise ring, Paige?" My mom asked.

I nodded. "Yeah." I admired it once again.

"That's soooo cute!" Amanda beamed. "He's such a keeper."

"He is." I laughed. My blood is literally freezing in this weather.

"I kind of knew about it already, but I still think it's the most adorable thing ever." My mom rubbed my shoulder. "Go inside, ice cube!" She said after touching my skin.

"Okay, see you later Amanda. Have a good Christmas." I smiled.

"You too Paige." She smiled back.

I walked into the house and saw my dad on the couch.

"Hi!" He greeted.

"Hey." I said. I'm so ready for bed. I probably could've fell asleep at this moment.

"Someone's tired?"

"Pretty much." I yawned.

"Get some sleep, party animal."

I giggled and walked downstairs into my room.

I struggled to unzip the dress, but it managed. I hung it up in my closet and changed into pajamas, then went to the bathroom and prepared myself to go to sleep. With that, I hopped into bed and scrolled through Twitter.

"@paigemholland: Promise?"

About 5 minutes later Jack tweeted.

"@jackgilinsky: promise."

I suddenly got a text from him.

J: goodnight cutie. Don't sleep all day tomorrow.

P: I'll try not to.. Goodnight shitface

J: shitface?

P: love you :))

J: love you too, fuckface :)
