Chapter 49 - Present Day

March 8, 2015

"What are you doing?" I giggled and looked over at Jack, who was sitting on the other side of the couch taking pictures of himself making silly faces.

He laughed at me. "Check Snapchat."

I bursted out laughing once I saw his ugly Snapchats to me. He was laughing at himself as well. We've switched phones for the day, so I've been posting on his Snapchat and he's been posting on mine.

"Let's go! The Uber driver's here." Jack J opened the front door and exited. Me and Jack followed.

We all climbed into the Uber and set off to Hollywood. I took snapchats of Jack and Jack and put them on Jack's story.

"Oh my god." Jack J looked at his phone.

"What?" I asked.

"Everyone thinks that it's Madison on Jack's story. They overreact a lot." He shrugged.

"Oh I know, people always think he's with Madison instead of me. I don't blame them though. We look and sound the same and she doesn't do much to make it clear that you guys aren't dating." I almost rolled my eyes.

"That picture of us I posted the other day for her birthday though, you watched us take that. I wasn't even aware that she took a picture." Jack defended.

I could say so many rude things but Madison hasn't really done anything to actually purposely hurt me. Besides think that my boyfriend likes her, and he doesn't.

"She posted those roses and that bag on Instagram and everyone jumped to the conclusion that I gave them to her." He said.

"When it was actually me." I rolled my eyes. We hung out with her the other day and she got me this super cute present for no reason, so I figured why not give her something cute for her birthday? But no, now all the fans think that it was Jack.

"Don't stress babe. I'm yours and you're mine and nothing's gonna change that."

His words comforted me. Quickly after, he pulled my phone put and began tweeting.

"Are you tweeting from my account?" I asked.

"No, from mine."

I watched as he typed.

"@jackgilinsky: Come on now.. don't be that person who starts rumors just to get attention :/"

He does everything he can to comfort me and I absolutely love him for that. I never feel out of place.

I got on Jack's Snapchat and pressed record. I moved the camera closer to his face after he took a sip of water. Unexpectedly, he spit the water out on the phone.

I gasped. "WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!" I giggled, wiping the phone on my shirt.

He laughed at me.

A couple hours later, we were all hanging out at Matt's. Of course Madison had to be here, but it's totally fine with me.

"I really like your shirt." She said, starting a conversation.

"Thank you!" I smiled. "So how's being sixteen?" I asked.

"It's pretty nice, I can't complain. I'm ready to get a car."

"Do you have your license?" I asked. I felt like I was talking to my baby cousin or something. Like, there's no way her and Jack could be together.

"Yeah I got it the other day."

"Oh nice. Yeah, don't play the random direction game." I joked.

She giggled. "Oh, hey, what was Jack's tweet about? Like who started a rumor?" She questioned.

I shrugged. I wanted to say mind your own damn business but I refrained. "Just regular drama, nothing much."

She nodded.

Jack walked over to us. "Do you guys want to go get food with us? We're gonna walk."

"Yeah!" Madison said in a perky voice. She jumped up and adjusted her heels. When she wasn't looking, I rolled my eyes at Jack.

"Yeah sure!" I mocked her a little.

"What's your problem?" He whispered.

I didn't want Madison to hear us, so I just didn't answer. I began walking outside. I actually don't know what my problem with her is today. Maybe it's the fact that someone said Jack looks better with her on Instagram and it hurt my feelings. I get jealous so very easily despite the fact that Jack loves me. I just, I don't know.

About 30 minutes later, we were eating at a Mexican restaurant. Just me, Madison, Jack, Jack, and Matt.

"Holy fuck." Jack whispered to me.

"What?" I whispered back. Nobody else was listening to us.

"Everyone thinks that Madison was tweeting from my phone. They think that I blew off a fan because I was with her. Not true? I was at the Doctor's appointment."

"Just put the phone down and ignore it." I shrugged.

"Why did Jack just tweet I'm Sorry?" Jack looked at me. I glanced at Jack J, who was talking to Matt and Madison.

"Don't ask me." I shook my head. Twitter is just too much drama right now.

My phone- er, Jack's phone vibrated in my pocket. I took it out and viewed the text from Jack J. He's aware that me and Jack switched phones today.

J: she needs to leave before anyone sees her with jack. Its going to cause so much shit

P: ok but we can't just force her to leave??

J: I'll think of somethin

I switched glances with Jack J as Jack read the texts.

I finished my food, often thinking about what Jack J's plan was.

"Paige, do you think we should go spend some time with your parents before they have to leave?" Jack J said from across the table.

I hesitated, but then I realized that this was the plan. "Oh, yeah, maybe we should." I said.

"You guys can come over later if you want." Matt said.

"Yeah, I need to see a few other people today anyways." Madison looked at all of us. I could just sense that she was lying. But so were we.

"I thought she'd ask if she could come over." Jack J plopped on the couch and me and Jack walked into the house. "Bro, we need to stop hanging out with her. I feel like I'm babysitting."

"No guys- like, it's not that she's annoying-"

"Yeah she is." Me and Jack said in perfect sync. We laughed at eachother.

"Okay, I'll admit she's really sweet but she does a lot of things that are annoying. That's all." I shrugged.

"Yeah- like she's constantly trying to take snapchats of me and she never even posts them, like.... I don't know. It's awkward."

"Maybe we should just try to distance ourselves. But we shouldn't straight up come out and say get away from us, you know."

I looked at my phone, (Jack's phone) and saw a text from Matt.

Matt: Change of plans, party at my place tonight. Everyone's invited.

"Matt's having a party, he's inciting everyone." I said.

"Tonight?" They both asked.

I nodded. Looks like we're going to have to try and avoid Madison. Again.

If you didn't notice, I actually based everything in this chapter off of exactly what's happening today. Literally.
