Chapter Twenty-One

I rolled over and peeked open my eyes, I really did not want to get out of bed this morning. Devon was laying on his side looking at me, "good morning baby" he said.

I smiled a sleepy smile, "good morning love" I whispered back and tucked my head on his chest. He wrapped his arms around me and in the silence, we laid there for a bit.

"What did you want for breakfast?" he asked. "I was thinking we just skipped everything and stayed right here in bed" I said cuddling more into him. He squeezed me a bit.

"Love you need to eat for our baby" he said, I sighed I knew he was right, but I was so comfortable right where we were at. "How about French toast?" I asked.

"That sounds good" he said, as he got up and I took the covers and wrapped myself up more in them and turned over and closed my eyes again. I could hear Devon chuckle as he got up and saw what I did.

"You have a doctor's appointment next week right love?" he asked me, "yes" was all I said from under the covers, I knew what he was doing, I was not going to let him get me out of bed.

Twenty minutes later I could smell breakfast being made and the coffee was beckoning me to come have a cup. The smell was just too good to pass up, so I got up and without thinking I went into the kitchen, grabbed a cup, and poured my coffee.

The room was silent, I took my cup and turned around. Tom and Deven were sitting at the table. Tom with his eyes dark were filled with desire, I turned and saw Devon turn five shades of red. "Athena love, please go into the bedroom and put something on" Devon said as he walked over to me quickly and ushered me out of the room.

"What in the world are you doing?" I said and looked down and realized I was naked. "I am really sorry Devon I wasn't thinking" I said as I hurriedly put on a pair of shorts and a tank top.

"I know baby" he said as he was chuckling and walked out with me back into the kitchen.

Tom was still sitting there drinking his coffee, but I could feel he was fighting the urge to just take me at once. He knew it was not his place and I was not his but something inside of him was fighting him.

You could feel it in the air, "I am really sorry about that Tom, I wasn't thinking" I said when I grabbed my cup of coffee. Tom looked up at me, "it's okay Ath, things happen" was all he said but the look that passed between us let me know that this was not over.

I took a deep breath and sat down. Devon put the plate of food in front of me and laughed when I started eating right away. I did not care at that point what I looked like I was starving.

Once finished I took my plate and put it in the sink, "I want to go riding today but I'm afraid that the wolf from the other day will show up again and I can't have Eternal hurt" I said turning around and looking at both guys.

"I'm sure that wolf is long gone by now" Tom said looking at Devon. "I can't see that wolf hurting you love, you're too precious for anything to hurt you" Devon said getting up and kissing the top of my head.

"Besides, our little one I think would like to go for a ride" he said as he rubbed my stomach. Even though there was not a belly, I had a small bump starting to show.

I smiled up at Devon, "it's settled then, I'm going to go riding this afternoon and go by my spot and let Eternal have his fill on that grass he found that he loved so much" I said as I went into the bathroom to take a shower.

When I got out of the shower, I noticed the house was quiet and there was a note on the bed, "Ath, I went to the ranger station to finish the paperwork, I will be home later tonight and just be careful around Tom, he's trustworthy but he has his eyes on you. Love Devon"

I tossed the note into the trash and threw on a pair of jeans and a tank top. I grabbed my tumbler and filled it with iced tea and some lemon. It was hotter than normal today.

Once at the barn, I called out to Eternal, I could hear him whinny and there he was within a moment's notice. I heard Tom snicker "that horse loves you to death" he said as he walked up behind me.

"It's mutual, we saved each other that day" I said as I rubbed the horse's head. Tom went and grabbed my tack. "Here you go little one" he said as he set everything down for me.

"Thank you and see you're not the big bad wolf you say you are" I said snickering. "Keep thinking that" was all Tom said.

Eternal was ready to go, "do you want to go with me?" I asked Tom, he looked at me for a moment, "sure" he said.

Once we were outside and the barn door closed, I climbed on and Tom got on behind me, Eternal snorted and started to walk, I knew he would not mind since he was a draft horse.

We followed the trail for a bit, Toms hands were around my waist in the begging and when there was no need it did not matter though, I was not saying anything deep down my body responded to his touch.

It was not lust; it was more contentment being with Tom for some unknown reason.

"Now I can see why you enjoy this so much" Tom said right next to my ear, my body responded with a little bit of shivers but hopefully not enough for Tom to notice.
