After dinner, we all sat around and enjoyed a nice cup of hot coco while Mark snuggled with Destiny till it was time, I put her to bed and Mark suggested to the guys it was time to venture back to their place for the night.
They said their good nights to me and after I shut and locked the door, I made sure the family room fireplace was set for the night, checking in on Destiny she was sound asleep, and the windows were locked up tight.
I put more logs into the fire in the bedroom so I would not have to worry about it in the middle of the night. One thing about living out here, it is not for the weak, it is a tough life living out in the middle of nowhere with no real power but a generator for the basics and fire was the primary heat source.
I put on a tank top and night shorts and climbed into my bed, for the first time in a long time I went to bed by myself. The bed seemed so empty without Tom in it with me.
I woke up with the sun streaming through the windows in the bedroom, I stretched and laid there for a moment and realized for the first time Destiny slept through the night.
I got up fast and went to check on her, she was sound asleep still wrapped up in her bassinet. Carefully walking back out I went to the bedroom and threw a couple logs onto the fire and put on my robe.
Going into the family room I added more logs to that fire and unlocked the front door. I went and started up the stove so I could put the kettle on. I needed my coffee this morning.
After the bathroom, the stove was hot enough for the kettle to do its thing. I opened the blinds and looked out, the snow had stopped falling and everything was blanketed in white.
With the sun hitting the freshly fallen snow it glittered as if a million stars were laying on the ground. It was so breathtaking.
The kettle was going off, putting it on the pad I made a cup of coffee and sat at the kitchen table enjoying my first sip of the hot goodness and watching out the window.
I saw all the guys do the chores for the morning, oh how I miss seeing my babies first thing in the morning, all would come out of their stalls to greet me, and each waited for their love rubs that they would get.
After a bit I put the kettle on the back part of the stove so the water would remain hot but would not boil dry.
I heard Destiny start to cry letting me know she was awake and was demanding to be fed, I loved that little girl. I picked her up and snuggled with her as I changed her diaper and we sat on my bed so I could feed her.
After she was fed and burped, we went into the kitchen so I could grab my coffee. We then sat back on the couch, I put in a DVD that held just music so that way I could listen to Christmas music on Christmas day.
Kissing Destiny's little forehead, "merry Christmas my sweet baby girl" I whispered as we cuddled waiting for the guys to come here.
While I was singing along to the music Destiny and I were enjoying our bonding moment, I did not even hear the guys come in. They all stayed silent as I sang dreaming of a white Christmas.
Once done the guys made a soft noise so as not to scare me, "Ath, you have the most beautiful voice I have ever heard," Mark said as he walked over to me. I looked up at him.
"Thank you so much for that" I said and sat up so I could hand Destiny over to her grandfather.
I got up and Tom walked over and kissed me, "Merry Christmas baby" he whispered, and I whispered it back and kissed him again, Derek pushed Tom out of the way.
Our turn he laughed, "Merry Christmas Ath" Derek and Darryle both said, and both hugged me together. I hugged them back.
Eric walked up to me, I looked up at him, "Merry Christmas Ath" he said and hugged me, I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him back as I was pulling back, he kissed me.
