I cannot believe it is already November, looking out at the snow starting to fall. I feel as big as a house right about now. I am due to have the baby next month and the Doc is on standby along with Tim and a few others that work at the station.

The plans have all been made and everything set, we decided to have a home birth because of how this weather can turn in a heartbeat. The brothers have been busting their ass keeping the farm running smoothly as I would have done.

Tom, that sweet dear man, he is as nervous as all can be, making sure we have everything, and he is constantly waiting on me, making sure I do not do too much all at once.

The nursery is all set up and the basinet is in our bedroom. I honestly feel great except I am tired all the time and moody and now that it is snowing, I cannot go for my usual walks just to get out of the house.

Tom's father Mark has been in contact with us every few days making sure I am doing okay and if I need anything to get a hold of him right away. Now I see where Tom gets it from.

I will admit the first snowfall is always beautiful here where I live. A few years ago, I moved to Alaska after my husband was killed. I created a small simple yet functioning farm.

I needed the simple life and I have always been a country girl, never cared about city life. This was perfect for me, and I loved it, course I fell in love with a man who decided after we got pregnant that this was not the life he wanted.

So, he moved out and has been gone since. Tom has stepped into the role perfectly. We are planning to get married this summer, in July when the weather should be sunny and warm, right before the rainy season.

Tom and I have been inseparable since Devon was banished from coming around me from the council. A group of people made up of humans with special abilities that were kept from the average person.

The only reason I know about this, we will let us say Devon was not supposed to get me pregnant, but he did, and Tom called in the council to protect me and the baby.

Now being under the watch of the council was not idea, but better to be on their good side then on their bad side and have a death warrant put out on you.

Mark is Tom's father and the head of the council, he has become like a father figure to me, and I enjoy having talks with him every week via the computer video calls that they installed for me.

I promised him that as soon as the baby was born, he would be notified, Tom and I opted out of knowing what we were going to be having. We wanted it to be a surprise to see if we were having a daughter or a son.

The baby was going to take Toms last name since he accepted the role of being his or her father.

So now we wait, the baby is due around Christmas, which Doc and the brothers think is just wonderful.  I am ready to have this baby now and not wait another month.

Nine months might not seem like a lot but after six months the weight of the baby starts to really show up and no matter how tired and achy your body feels, you are so ready when it is time to deliver.

"Ath" Derek calls out, "yes Derek" I said as I walked from the bedroom where I was enjoying my nap time, but sleep is never there when I would like it to be.

"I want you to see the Christmas tree we got for the house" he said all excited. I had to laugh, seeing Derek's excitement was contagious, "okay let's see it" I said smiling when I saw him.

Derek opened the front door and Tom and Darryle brought in this massive pine tree, they put it in the stand that was already set up. It almost hit the ceiling of the family room.

The tree in the stand stood a good eight feet high, and about six feet around give or take a few branches.

"Do you love it or what" Derek said making sure it looked exactly right, "Honestly Derek, I do love it, it is perfect" I said walking over and taking a good look at the tree.

Tom and the brothers went to town last week and went crazy shopping to decorate the house and tree. I was surprised when Tim walked in with them, each carrying six bags in each hand.

The house looked like a picture that would fit in the north pole, the house was fully decorated and now the guys were getting ready to decorate the tree. I smiled at them as I went to sit on the couch.

Tom made and brought me some hot coco, "here you go sweetheart, let us decorate while you supervise us from the comfortable spot" Tom said as he gave me a kiss and a wink as he stood up to help his brothers.

That man knew my weakness for hot coco when it snowed out.
