I inhale deeply as I stand outside of the training room. I was scared to go to training after seeing Bamir's reaction to who I am, I just don't understand why he got so angry. He knows I trust him, we wouldn't be a good team if I didn't trust him. Oh man, what if he quits on us? What if he hates me for good?
I slowly peel myself away from the wall and enter the room. Bamir looks up and sees me, and I can tell that he has a guilty look on his face. Maybe it isn't guilt, maybe I'm just seeing what I want to see.
Hani's gaze follows Bamir's and he smiles at the sight of me. I stop walking leaving a couple of feet distance between us as I look at the pair. Bamir and I look at one another awkwardly, neither of us sure about what to say. Hani sighs and runs his hand over his face.
"Come on, big guy. Use your words." He says as he shoves Bamir towards me slightly. My eyes widen as I look up at the tall man who looks down to me. He rubs the back of his neck and he soon takes a deep breath.
"Ulazu, I'm sorry for how I reacted yesterday." He says and it surprises me.
"It's okay, I should have told you both sooner, I was just scared about my mother finding out." I reply. Bamir smiles as I accept his apology, but he soon lets it fade.
"Does the Fire Lord know you're here now?" He asks and I nod.
"Yeah, she allowed me to stay to help against the Equalists and now that they're gone she's letting me stay as a representative for the Fire Nation." I say. The only thing I dislike about this reasoning to stay is that as representative I have to attend some meetings and functions as the Princess, not Ulazu. However, I know I can't complain. I'm still in the city at the end of the day.
"Equalists? As in those non-benders that would yell at us in the park?" Hani asks as he walks towards us.
"Those are the ones. I was going to tell you both about it yesterday." I say which causes Bamir to frown and look to the ground. Why did I say that? Way to go and make him feel worse about it, Ulazu.
"Well, I guess you'll have to tell us what happened whilst I kick both of your butts." Hani smirks as he bends some water towards me. I quickly raise my hand and bend fire into the water before spinning on my heel and kicking fire into his chest. He groans as he is pushed back and falls to the floor.
"I might not be a lightning bender, but I have been practicing." I say as I watch him get onto his feet again. Bamir steps away from me so we are standing in a triangle and I prepare myself.
"Bring it on." Hani says.

After about an hour or so we are left panting heavily. We have trained hard and whilst training I managed to finally inform them about the battle against Amon. However, my story telling didn't stop me from kicking their ass. I am bent over holding my knees in attempt to regain my breath and the other two are both lying on the floor. Man it feels good to be pro bending again.
"Geez, if I knew you'd been practicing this hard whilst we were gone I wouldn't have bothered wasting my time trying to metal bend." Bamir pants as he stretches his arms across the ground.
"Dude, I thought you said you lost your bending for a couple of weeks? How can you be that good after not bending for ages?" Hani asks. I stand up straight and laugh at their dramatics. It's clear by the way we were bending that we have all improved since last year's championships. We have definitely got this year in the bag.
"It's not really something I can just forget." I reply. Just then I hear the door to the training room open causing us all to turn to see Avatar Korra walking in. She smiles to me which I reply with ease.
