My eyes take in the burning light of the portal as we stand in front of it. Adrenaline is pumping through me at an alarming rate, but I allow it to fill me with confidence. It's time to stop Unalaq. I look over to Bolin and see him already looking at me nervously. A lot can go wrong, and if there is a single slip up we've failed humanity. It's a lot of pressure, and I can't even begin to imagine how much of it Korra is feeling right now.

"Run into the portal. I'll try to hold off anyone who comes after you." Tonraq says as he removes his arms from around Bolin and Mako. He walks forward slightly by himself, and I can immediately tell that he is in no shape to fight.

"No, you're too hurt. You need a healer." Korra says gently as she walks towards her father. She turns to Asami. "Asami, can you take Oogi and my dad back to my mum?" She asks. Asami nods and goes to Oogi. I watch as Korra hugs her father tightly before letting him go to safety. I move over to Bo and stand between him and his brother. Neither one turns to me as their focus is on Korra, but I can tell that they know I have joined them.

Korra sighs as she watches Oogi fly away, and after a moment she turns to look at us. Her concern for her wounded father has left her allowing determination to take control.

"Once we're inside, you go find Jinora. Mako, Ulazu, and Bolin will take care of Unalaq while I close the portal so Vaatu can't escape." Korra says. I nod in agreement, proud of her for leading the group.

"Wait a second. Worst-case scenario." Bolin says with fear seeping into his voice. "So, we're fighting Unalaq, you close the portals, and let's just say something happens to you. Are we gonna be trapped in there for eternity?" He asks.

"If everything goes as planned, we'll all walk out together after Harmonic Convergence. If not..." She sighs as we let a knowing silence fall upon us. If we don't walk out together, we've doomed the world. "Let's go." She says. She starts running towards the portal and we don't hesitate before running after her.

I feel my eyes naturally shut to protect them as we walk into the blinding light of the portal. I grunt slightly as we walk through and soon the light stops burning through my eyelids. I open my eyes and feel my heart pick up speed ever so slightly when I realise that we're in the spirit world. I had no idea what this place was going to look like, but I really didn't expect it to look like this.

I look ahead and see Unalaq standing beside a large tree with dark spirits spiraling around it. There is a moment of nothing; a split second where the two forces of good and evil stare at one another allowing the anticipation of battle to grow between them. But the calm before the storm ends quickly as the spirits hiss in anger and come flying towards us.

"Tenzin, go find Jinora." Korra orders, and the three older adults quickly run off. Korra puts her palms together and immediately she is in the Avatar state. I watch in awe as she runs forward and bends a wave of air towards the army of spirits, knocking all of them down at once. I have never seen Korra in the Avatar state before, and it's safe to say that I am impressed.

Unalaq jumps off one of the spirits and starts bending water towards Korra. I jump in the way and block the attack with fire as the three of us start fighting against Unalaq, allowing Korra to run back to the portal to close it. I bend fire at the man, moving quickly out of the way of his strong and rapid attack. Bolin and Mako fight by my side, matching my speed as we deflect and attack.

I continue to bend, and I gasp slightly as water shoots directly at me, but Bolin quickly bends the earth to block the attack. I don't thank him, instead I bend a large amount of fire towards Unalaq at the same time Mako does, hoping to hit him. Unalaq weaves through the assault and bends a stream of water into Mako forcing him through the air. I hear his grunt behind me and I grit my teeth as I spin on my heel bending an arc of fire at the man. He ducks under it and launches another stream of water at Bolin. He quickly bends a large chunk of earth up to block the attack, but Unalaq doesn't give up. He continues to push against the boulder shoving Bolin back.
