I wake up with a wide smile on my face. I can't stop thinking about last night. Everything just seemed to fall into place, well, if I ignore everything my grandfather said to me it did. I'm still incredibly confused by what he was saying, but Bolin ensured me that we'll figure everything out. And I truly believe him. I trust him.
I get out of bed and get ready for the day. Before yesterday I was worried that without the Championship Tournament I'd have nothing to distract me from the Water Tribe conflict. But now I have this whole heat bending thing to deal with. My grandfather said he would see if there are any records of bending heat back in the Fire Nation however, he wants me to practice and see what I can do with heat bending. It really is a perfectly timed revelation.
But, I'm not distracting myself with training at the moment, I'm going to distract myself by joining Bo on set. He mentioned last night that he's doing stunts today, and I already know that it's going to be amusing.
I leave the grounds of the Air Temple after checking in on Lulu and Naga and make my way to the studio. I open the door and I'm immediately met by silence. I know that I slept in this morning, but surely I haven't missed an entire day of filming? I walk further into the room and I see Asami standing looking up. I follow her gaze and laugh when I see Bolin dangling down from the ceiling. His attention moves from Asami and onto me as he hears my laughter.
"Ula, hey." He smiles. I continue to laugh as I join Asami's side.
"Bo, what are you doing up there?" I ask.
"Oh, just some stunt work. No one can play Nuktuk as well as me." He replies.
"Uh huh, want help to get down?" I ask with a small chuckle.
"Asami, Ulazu, either of you know where Bolin is?" A voice calls behind us. I turn around to see Mako running over to us.
"Up here." Bolin calls. I watch as he waves to his brother before trying to untangle himself in the ropes that are holding him up.
"Good. I've got something to tell you guys." Mako says. My eyes widen as Bolin falls out of the ropes and lands roughly on the floor. I quickly run over to him and cup his face as I look for injuries.
"Are you okay?" I ask him. He smiles and covers my hand on his face with his.
"Yeah, I just gotta stop doing my own stunts." He chuckles gently. I help him to his feet and we walk over to the others. The two of them watch us curiously, but they swiftly move on.
"I found out who's been stealing from Future Industries." Mako says. My eyebrows furrow.
"What do you mean? Someone stole from you, Asami?" I ask as I turn to her.
"Yeah, someone's been stealing my shipments, and then stole everything in my warehouse last night." She explains. I instantly feel guilty that I brought my own drama into her already bad night.
"I'm so sorry. If I had known-" I start, but Asami gives me a small smile to stop me.
"I know, it's okay." She says before turning back to Mako. "Who do you think it is?" She asks him.
"Varrick." He answers. My eyes widen at his accusation. I thought they were partners in Future Industries, why would he rob himself?
"What? No." Bolin says.
"He attacked his own ship?" Asami asks.
"Yes! It was a ploy. He wants Republic City to go to war, and he wants control of the businesses that stand to profit the most from it. He already had all the shipping. All he needed was Future Industries." Mako says.
