After the trial I thought it was best for me to get away from everything. The longer I'm around the crazy things, the more I want to help. I know that I can't get involved, it isn't right for me to. So that is why I'm heading towards the stable to check on Lulu. I ignore the conversations around me and walk into the stable. Lulu looks up as I walk in and I smile as I approach her.

"Hey, Lulu. You hungry?" I ask as I grab some of her food and place it in front of her. She moves towards me and grunts happily. I bring my hand to her head and start scratching her, and I can tell that she likes it from the small noises that escape her lips as she chews.

The doors to the stable open and I turn to see Bolin walk in. He waves slightly as he walks towards us, but I soon turn my attention back onto Lulu.

"Hey," I call to him from over my shoulder. "what are you doing here?" I ask. He is soon at my side and he places his own hand on the flying bison, ruffling her fur as he strokes her gently.

"I just wanted to see if you were okay. You left the courthouse rather quickly." He replies. I feel his eyes on me and I sigh.

"I can't be involved in whatever is happening. It's just best that I stay out of the way." I say and I turn to see him watching me closely.

"It might be hard to stay out of the way." He says with a small chuckle as he leans against Lulu. He smiles, but as I watch him with a saddened look upon my face, his small falls.

"I'm thinking that maybe I should stay in Republic City." I sigh as I go to grab more food for Lulu. He stands up straight and follows me.

"What?" He gasps as if it was the most obscure thing for me to have said.

"It makes sense. That way I'd be able to train with the Dragonflies everyday and be away from the Water Tribe conflict." I say with a shrug. I pick up a large pile of food for Lulu and turn to walk back to her, only to be stopped by Bo standing there in despair. I stand still looking straight back at him unsure about what to do here. I've never really seen Bolin look this down about something I've said before.

"What about me?" He says. "And the others. We're Team Avatar." He adds quickly. I purse my lips hating the fact that I'm upsetting Bolin, but I know this is the best decision.

"I know we are, but if I stay here then I'm going to want to involve myself. Asami is right. I rejected the alliance, so I have no right to involve myself with another nation's problems." I say hoping that he can understand why I'm saying this.

"But you don't have to involve yourself. Besides, the trial is over, there's nothing to get involved in." Bo tries. I am about to respond when the stable doors slam open again revealing Korra. She pants slightly as she walks towards us and I can't help but look confused by her angry expression.

"Ulazu, what was the whole alliance thing about?" She asks quickly. I give Bolin a quick look and I can see his confusion. Good, at least I'm not the only one.

"Why does it matter? I said no." I reply.

"Was he trying to get you on his side? Did he mention the Southern Water Tribe?" She asks. I blink a couple of times as I see the anger within her build. This must have something to do with her father.

"He said that he wanted me to guard the spirit portal because apparently the south aren't trustworthy." I say and I instantly regret it when her face grows red in rage.

"He said what?" She growls. "Come on." She says as she turns and marches out of the stable. I sigh and put the food down before racing after her. Bolin quickly joins my side and I turn to him briefly.
