I am grinning enthusiastically as Bolin and I race through the crowds of the festival. We have been trying to avoid Unalaq because I don't want whatever he wants to speak with me about to ruin tonight.
Bolin grabs my hand and pulls me towards one of the stalls with a child-like grin covering his entire face.
"Okay, so, I know the last one wasn't a success-" he starts.
"You forced me to eat blubber!" I whine which makes him roll his eyes playfully.
"It's blubber seal jerky, one of the best snacks ever." He scoffs. The entire night so far has consisted of Bo taking me to each food stall to find something that I like. It's not as if I dislike the foods that I'm trying, well, I definitely didn't like the jerky, it's just I'd rather something else over it.
"I really doubt that the best snack ever comes from the Water Tribes." I reply. His eyebrows lift knowingly which is soon followed by a smirk appearing on his lips.
"Uh huh, remember you just said that." He says. He lets go of my hand when we are stood in front of the stall with a large cart. The woman behind the cart smiles at us, which we both return.
"One large candy floss please." Bolin says and the woman nods. I watch as she grabs one of the sticks and starts twirling it around inside the cart before us. I watch in confusion, but my eyes soon widen in wonder as a cloud of pink starts to wrap around it. I have never seen anything like this before.
It isn't long before the woman brings the stick out again, now holding a large amount of pink. Bolin takes it and thanks her and turns to me. He continues to smile as he looks at me.
"Try some." He says sounding confident. I can't help but look hesitant to him. It's so pink, what could it even taste like. I lift my fingers onto it and rip off a bit of the fluffy cloud. I look at it strangely before putting it in my mouth, and straight away my eyes widen with shock. As soon as it touches my tongue it starts to melt away leaving a sugary taste in my mouth. My eyes dart up to Bolin who puts a bit of candy floss into his own mouth. His smile turns into a smirk and I am unable to stop a grin from spreading across my face.
"Bo, this is amazing!" I say excitably as I take another bit and let it melt in my mouth. He laughs at my reaction and starts to guide us away from the stall.
"See, I told you you'd like it. I wouldn't say it's the best snack but-" he says but I cut him off.
"I would, my tastebuds have never been so blessed." I say taking another bit. He laughs again.
"It's probably the amount of sugar. You might want to slow down." He say which makes me stop and look at him.
"I can't believe you of all people are telling me to slow down when it comes to food." I gasp. His eyebrows furrow slightly.
"You of all people? What does that mean?" He asks with fake offence.
"Oh, so it wasn't you that shoved an entire attic hen in your mouth back there?" I ask unable to stop the corners of my mouth from turning up. He blinks a couple of times and scoffs.
"It's something I like to call 'talent'. I don't blame you if you haven't heard of it." He says with a smug expression. My lips part as I stare at him.
"Let me show you how talented I am." I say. His smug expression soon drops as I start running at him, and he runs away from me.
We laugh loudly as I chase him through the crowds, however unfortunately for us, Bo runs straight into Unalaq, Tonraq, Tenzin and Korra. Bo abruptly stops in front of them and I feel myself slam into the back of him unable to stop in time. I groan slightly and rub my forehead as I feel all of their gazes on me.
