"It had been 5 days since Sophie had gone missing, and we don't know what to do. That's the only reason I'm asking for your opinion."

Fintan didn't look up from his cell.

"Fintan, please," I begged. And I hate begging.

"I'll tell you if you make everyone call you Ella." Fintan wisecracked. But what he doesn't know is that I haven't slept in 5 days, because my mother wants me to find Sophie. I don't know why, and everyone else just says she's having a bad day. But they don't know her like I do, and a bad day five days has almost never happened. Normally, she's just my mom but a little crazier. I suspect that she's lucid, but I don't know why she won't leave me alone. He doesn't know how desperate I am to get some sleep. And to find Sophie too, but Sophie can take care of herself. I mean, she's taken on the Neverseen countless times, and she has always survived. But my god, I need to sleep.

"Deal. Call me Ella." I grimaced. I cannot believe the words that came out of my mouth. I mean, Jensi will hear about this, and he will never let it go. He will call me Ella every waking moment of every day. Great.

"I was joking! I'm not going to help her." Fintan cackled.

"Well, you sound like an old evil witch so the jokes on you." I turned on my heel and started to leave, when Fintan yelled "Wait!" I slowly turned back to him, and raised my eyebrow. If he would just tell me what to do, I might get some rest. But with Fintan, the more eager you were the less likely to get any real answers.

Fintan finally whispered, "How's Edaline holding up?"

"Well, I don't see if that's any of your business, because you won't help her daughter." I said.

"You are a tricky girl, you know that?" Fintan growled. I waited a moment, so the look of utter disgust turned into one of quiet resentment before I replied, sarcasm laced in my tone.

"If I wasn't, I'd have way more friends,"

"Fine," Fintan snapped, took a couple of deep breaths, and continued. "Personally, I'd try to find Keefe, because they seem to be in love with each other. It's sickening. So how's Edaline." Fintan grumbled.

"Really. So... Sokeefe is 'sickening' but your crush on Edaline is totally fine." I said.

"I do not have a silly crush on Edaline. That is ridiculous. I was simply asking how she was, because her deadbeat husband is gone, and her daughter is missing. It is preposterous to assume anything otherwise." Fintan fumed. "Now leave. YOU'VE EMBARRASSED YOURSELF. GET OUT."

"Fine. You really want to know how she's doing?" I said, yelling over my shoulder.

"SHE'S ACTING WORSE THEN MY MOTHER." I screamed, slamming the door behind me. 30 minutes later I was writing down all the places I thought Keefe could be, because even if Fintan and I fought sometimes, his advice was always really good. Like how Tam likes Biana and Dex is finally over her. You know what, maybe I talk too much about personal stuff to Fintan. But Edaline is acting worse than my mother. She still won't talk to anyone, and she is barely sleeping. Apparently whatever Grady was doing was more important than Sophie, so I couldn't schedule a meeting with the council. I need to think about Keefe. Where would Keefe go? Probably somewhere stupid, but Sophie would also have to be there, so it couldn't be that dumb. So far this is all I have.

1.Shores of Solstice (dad lying?)

2.London (was there before)

3. Found a human that he knows (Amy?? (Sophie's sister))

4. The Neverseen again (if so- srsly? Come on Keefe. Let's try to be more original.)

5. California (we learned about it in human history, so maybe he went somewhere he knew).
