"Really? A donut?" Biana asked, pouty look on her face. My dress swung across my legs, the silk soft and comforting. "Why do you want a donut?" She was obviously trying not to laugh.
I sighed, standing up from the mirror, "Because it reminds me of my human years." I said, walking across to the flowers, delving my nose into the roses to smell their springtime scent. Biana's velvety red dress swirled around her ankles, almost making me wish I had chosen the mermaid cut. But I loved this dress even more. The ice blue matched Keefe's eyes, and it hugged me in all the right places. My hair had been placed into a braid scattered with daisies, and I had lip gloss on. LIP GLOSS.
"Fine." Biana huffed, but a smile played on her lips. "Most brides would be worried, not asking for donuts." That's true, even Marella had freaked out a litte. Okay, she might have thrown up a little, but she made it down the aisle.
I sighed, as Amy came into the room with a brush and a smile. "I don't really want to make a big deal about this."
"WHAT." Amy exclaimed, almost dropping the brush. "This is your wedding day!" She said, grabbing me by the hands. "What's wrong with you?" She laughed, light twinkling in her eyes.
"You're not married, how should you understand?" I chuckled, glimpsing the big jewel tittering on her finger. This caused Amy to blush profusely, stammering out a weak response.
"Shut up."
"Biana!" Linh stuck her head through the door, hissing. "We're up!" Linh's black eyeliner was perfect, due to her girlfriend.
"Oh, crap." She swore, standing up fast. She ran to Linh's arm, giving me a toothy grin as she opened the door. Amy sat down next to me on the soft couch, worry tracing her face.
Someone knocked on the door, giving us the signal that it was time. "Don't you worry that you're too young?" Biana blurted out, looking scared.
"No." The answer came swiftly, because I knew it was true. "I want to spend as much time as possible with him." I turned my head to Amy, so she could see how excited I was. "He's the love of my life." I whispered, feeling pricks of tears forming in my eyes. "Oh, crud." I said, blinking furiously.
Amy giggled, "Oh Sophie." She extended her arm to me, and I stood up slowly. "You're ready?" She asked, and my heart was beating so fast I could only nod. I wrapped my arm in hers, and picked up my flowers. The big oak door swung open, leading me down a path of grass. An audible gasp went through the croad, and heat flashed through my cheeks. I raised my head to find Keefe, and when I saw him I tripped over my heels. Amy caught me, and a laugh rippled through my friends and family. Keefe's jet black suit fitted him perfectly, his gold tie setting off his eyes. And, of course, there was the fact that his gaw had dropped the moment he saw me. When I finally reached the altar, Keefe's arm grazed mine and it set off fireworks inside of me. Dex's beaming face told me that it was time.
"We're all gathered here today for the same reason. To see these two elves joined together for eternity. And we know that there will be a lot of drama," Dex said, earning a laugh from Biana. OOOOH they will pay for that. "But they'll work through it. And now, it's time to unite them. Keefe, do you- "
"YES." Keefe yelled, smiling with all of his teeth. He grabbed both of my hands, and I could feel electricity flow through his grip.
"Okay." Dex chuckled, "And Sophie, do you-"
"YUP!!!" I shouted, leaning in towards Keefe. He put his arms on the back of my neck, and pulled me close. His lips crashed into mine and I swear I could feel fireworks explode in my heart.
