Nikami POV
"I don't want to kill the world, I don't have the reason to. Besides, I'm going to be a ruler. And I don't get why you even said I laid out the pieces for you, I don't remember doing any of that." I spoke to the masked girl in front of me, narrowing my eyes at her as I folded my hands.
"Oh trust me, you will." She chuckled as she looked over my bed and sat down.
"Stop sitting on my bed, and get out of my room." I glared at her.
"And I will? I won't destroy the world, that would be just… Dumb. I am already so high, so perfect, and why would I destroy a place where I would rule?" I thought, still staring at the masked woman.
"Ughhh, Finnnnnneeeeeeeeee… I'll get out of your room!" She groans, hopping out of the bed.
"But I'll come here every now and then! Because, I kinda like checking in on you." She giggled.
"You literally just called me boring two minutes ago, just go to my roommate… Or something." I paused for a bit, glancing over at my desk. Right… The protagonist is my roommate now. Tch.
"Pftt! She's sooooooooooo boring! But well, you are more boring because you rarely talk." She rolled her eyes, then froze.
"You know, you just think of me as a child don't you?" Her voice started to become cold as she glanced back at me.
"I just came inside your room without you even noticing, said some dangerous things, and here we are, talking like normal buddies." Her personality did a total twist, rather than a cheerful and slightly eerie masked girl now she is filled with… Hatred?
"Well you are a Child, you act like a child, I don't care if you came inside my room. You can't do anything to me anyway." I sighed.
"Hahahaha… HAHAHAHAHA!!" She laughed at me, running her hands through her hair.
"Oh wow, you really are such a prideful asshole aren't you? Thinking you are so perfect when in reality you only feel a void on the inside." She glared at me.
"Maaayyyybeeee if you would socialize more and communicate better rather than staying silent all the time and doing nothing… Maybe you would actually have a personality rather than this shitty prideful ice queen thingy you got going on!~" She giggled, turning back at her cheerful side.
"I got an idea, why not fix that?!" She exclaimed, running over towards me as she grabbed my head.
"...?!" I quickly got on guard and grabbed her hands, putting ice on her arms as I tried to push her away.
"Let. Go." I growled, continuing to freeze her arm.
"..." She stayed silent, the ice on her arms now going to her shoulders at a fast rate, however, she didn't even flinch. Her grip was tight, her eyes were shut. She was muttering something as well.
Despite being magically talented, physical strength was never my strong suit, I gritted my teeth as I knew this was the case.
"I said… Let go!!" I felt a sudden pain in my head, my right hand felt a rush of mana and her entire arm was coated in frost. My left arm being in gloves so it couldn't have gone through.
She quickly backed away with her eyes wide open, looking over at her now frosted arm as she chuckled nervously.
"Hahahaha! Wow! That's amazing! You coated my arm with ice in a matter of seconds! Seriously? How did you get that much mana!" She continued laughing, looking out the window as the sun started to rise.
"And oh yea, It will only last like, a day, so yea! Don't worry much about it!" She chuckled even more, staring at the sun rising.
"That's my cue, see you!" She backed away in a dark corner of my room, disappearing as ice spikes fell down, and ice that had a mold of an arm.
I fell down, clutching my head as I groaned.
"Ugh… It… hurts…" I mumbled, closing my eyes.
Right after as I said that, the pain subdued.
"Haah… Haah... What… Did she… Do…?" I mumbled to myself, huffing as I wobbly stood up.
"Damn it… She's already breaking my plan apart… Tch… I didn't even get to ask who she was…" I gritted my teeth, glancing at my notebook.
"This is… This is fine, I can do this…" I did a deep inhale and tried to relax from what just happened.
"And… What does she mean by… It will only last a day…" I mumbled, sitting down on my bed as I stared at the sun rising.
"Wait a moment…" She blinked, suddenly realizing something.
"Why am I talking?! I'm supposed to be thinking this? Why… is… my mouth… moving…?" My eyes shot wide open as I looked down at myself, quickly running to my desk where there was a mirror.
"Is this what she was talking about? Can I not think anymore? No, rather, I cannot think because I will speak it out loud…" I bit my lip, pacing around my room as the sunlight hit the inside.
I glanced over at the ice that fell, wait, why did it fall off from her?
"No, stop it, no need about that now… I need to take care of this before class…" I continued to pace around the room, folding my hands as I did so. I stopped and tapped my foot.
"How though? Everything I think just slips out, I can't go to school like this… What are other means of communication? Maybe hand signs would work? Ah, maybe writing things down." I continued to mutter to myself, guessing things as much as I could.
"She did say «If you would socialize more and communicate better rather than staying silent all the time and doing nothing.» So, communicate better, It can still be taken like… Communications via writing…" I talked to myself even more.
I looked around the cabinet on my desk, trying to find a small notebook.
"I'm sure I made Emica pack more notebooks for me," I mumbled, knowing that I would write a lot during studying so I told her to bring a lot of notebooks.
I finally found one, taking it out and shutting the cabinet as I started to open it. Then I took a quill and dipped it in ink.
"Please work, please work." I begged, writing my words down as I thought of it.
Please, please, please. Is what I wrote, I nodded to myself as I inhaled.
"Alright, good, I can think with this." I let out a sigh of relief, finally having a good way to not talk all the time.
"Now… If I abuse this my hand would get hurt writing all the time, perhaps I'll do this only in classes. I'll be taking notes anyway." I nodded once again, hugging the notebook close to my chest. And looked outside the window once more.
"Damn it, it's only the first day, and I already got cursed… Who is that girl? She's a dark magic user… Tch. Damn it. She may be a Chunni but she actually has the power to go with it." I clicked my tongue, seeing the sun fully out of the horizon.
I heard a knock on the door, and heard a voice from the outside.
"Nikami-sama! It's time for school! I already have made breakfast outside, please wake up." She slowly opened the door and was startled when I was already awake
"Oh, up early huh. Should have expected that from Nikami-sama, excited for her school year!" Emica cheered a bit, smiling.
"Shall you eat now? Or would you like to rest for a while?" Emica tilted her head.
"I'll eat now." I bluntly said, going out the door as I still kept the notebook in my hand.
Then I wrote…
This is going to be hard.
